  Selected this hotel from the Tripadvisor reviews and its location as last time I was in Berlin was about 3-4 weeks after the wall came down and Ku'damm was the centre of everything. Once we had worked out that Savigny Platz U-bahn station was nearer than Uhlandstrasse it was very convenient for travelling by foot, U-bahn and S - This was our second visit to Berlin and both times we stayed at the Askanischer Hof. It truly has its own wonderful personality. A large bay window with lace curtains looks out on the K'damm. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Excellent breakfasts are served in an ornate dining room that is full of great conversation pieces.
