  The apartment was just perfect! We arrived at 11 in the night and got all the informations from the security guy, who also spoke a little english..   The staff, mostly young, smiling, helpful Chilenas (women) could not have been more welcoming...The beds were comfortable and new, the bed linens of good quality...excellent location in a peaceful residential neighborhood in the heart of Santiago, a 10-15 minute walk from two Metro stations... Can walk to most of the places of interest and spots in town, if one has the aptitude. Almenas is a nice cosy home/hostel, comfortable place to sleep in and a clean complete private bath (have to opt for it though). The staff is professional and courteous. And yes, Wi-fi is available and works very well. Breakfast was simple but sufficient as one would eat at home.
