Truly amazing--a real gem!! Our riad experience in Janurary of this year
was good....but in no way compares to the fabulous March surprise that
awaited us at Dar Akal! This riad is luxurious & comfortable in a
perfect location to explore the wonders of Marrakech...the ambience is
magnificent! The roof terrace, views, & pool are all spectacular!
Brahim, the property manager, is the most amazing host & the

I so enjoyed my time at this sublime riad, and am already planning a return trip.
It is newly restored, tastefully decorated and an oasis of calm and welcome in the city. The small plunge pool on the roof makes all the difference on a hot day.
The staff are lovely, the place is excellent value for money. Breakfast is always a little different and is great.
I felt right at home. Just lovely.
We liked everything. The warm welcome. The beautiful décor. The location in the heart of the medina which was close to must-see places like the Maison de la Photographie, the Musee de Marrakech, Medersa and of course the Jemaa El Fna. Excellent food and wonderful staff. A big thank you in particular to Said for his patience and help. His advice and local knowledge was terrific.
The host/caretaker, Sayyid, was gracious, kind, enthusiastic, understanding and very helpful. The riad was well maintained with its traditional Moroccan design. It had a serene and comfortable feel. There are luxurious features (hamman bath, pool, lounge) on rooftop and the ground floor to 'get away from the busy activities of the medina outside. I had a wonderful stay.
Dar Akal is a lovely riad, beautifully decorated with great taste, simple and classic- great attentive staff, centrally located, managers Patrick and Brahim arranged for us city and mountain tours, restaurant reservations, taxis, escorted us to places, etc.- great personal attention provided a very special stay in Marrakech. I highly recommend it!.
* Breakfast was great
* You should use the service to pick you up at place Moukef (which we missed out due to not reading their reply to our reservation) to have a smooth start of your hollidays.
Said is the best host serene & quiet riad in the middle of the old city. This beautiful gem feels like home. Perfect place to enjoy the busy city life and relax at the same time.
It's a fantastic riad with everything you need. Said was a brilliant host who went out of his way to make our stay perfect. You couldn't ask for anything more.
Great staff, especially Said, a true host. Always concerned about the guests. I will be back to the riad in my next trip to Marrakech.

N.A.---flawless :).
Nothing.
Staying at the center of the medina gives you the true experience of Marrakech. But the 'cost' of staying in the heart of the 'old city' is that Dar Akal can be a challenge to find or get back to. The medina is a labyrinth everywhere, especially at night where getting disoriented with which path take can be a burden.

Nothing.
