  The location was perfect for our needs. We just stayed one night as a stop over in Rio (leaving the next day for Bahia) and the Santos Dumont airport is literally a 10 minute walk from there!   All front desk staffs speak good English. Since this is a business hotel, rates on the weekend was cheaper than the weekdays. Use a yellow taxi if you go to tourist spots. They are honest and you pay by the meter. I used a car service that hotel offers when I visited steel plants that are far from the hotel. It is safe near the hotel. People outside the hotel don't speak English. - Great location if you want to hang around in Lapa. Very close to the metro station so you can easily go to Copacabana and Ipanema as well.   This was the most unique and sexy hotel I've stayed at. A delicious breakfast was delivered to our room every morning and the staff was extrememly helpful. But the best part about the room was the mirrors above the bed and the huge jetted spa with multi colored lights and once again a huge mirror above it!

  Hotel Rondonia is a nice place to stay. We had 4 quite rooms (on level 8). Breakfast is very good....and so is the location. - Service was good, breakfast had nice choices, room got cleaned everyday.
