Very Safe location , just 3/4 miles away from Novo rio Bus Station.It has a small bus station nearby where you can find buses that can you take you to mostly all touristic destinations. First of all the hostess was amazing, she tried to do everything for us and helped us a lot.
The Pousada is very clean and the location is very good, there is a bus station nearby and its very safe in this district.
The whole house is decorated in a beautiful way.

We came back from Brazil three weeks ago, our last night we stayed at
Castelo Valentim. Such a great location! If you really want to
experience the real Rio you should stay in this romantic, old
neigbourhood( Santa Teressa) There are so many great things to
discover when you walk around, small pubs, exellent restaurants and
great nightlife. The hosts where very friendly and helpful they will
give you all kind of information about where to go and what to
do/see. They also tell you the interestin -
The owners speak English very well and are incredibly friendly and helpful, giving helpful tips for seeing the city, including neighborhoods and events that we wouldn't have known to check out. The views from the balcony are wonderful, as is the extensive breakfast. The bedroom does not have a bathroom attached, but there is a full bathroom right across the hall, and it's private for the guests. The castle, replete with an underground tunnel and old-school elevator, is just as charming as Santa
