Our room was really clean, spacious and cozy with our own fridge. Breakfast is basic with the choice of savoury or sweet, but is served on the roof terrace and that was very nice.   Ok, this is not a five-star hotel, but they don't charge a five-star price either. My opinion is, you get exactly what you pay for. It's in Lapa, this means it probably used to be in a slum.   Hotel is in Lapa, a few hundred meters from the famous arches. Transport connections are very good - there are several buslines that run past the hotel and allow access to most parts of Rio easily. Breakfast was fine. AC worked, which is somewhat important when it's +37C outside
