We stayed in reubens court and the location is fantastic - only about five minutes from city centre, and there is a tesco express and morrisons local just up the road to buy food etc for the apartment. The facilities were great, everything was fully furnished, bed very big and comfy, all very modern and came with an instruction manual for everything. We had a bottle of prosecco left for us with two glasses! TV included sky movies and sky sports (the boyfriend was very happy about that) We didn'.
kaikki arvostelut » We stayed in the riverside Merchant Exchange apartment and the location was brilliant, just a few minutes walk to all the shops, restaurants & tourist attractions. The views across the city and river were lovely and the apartment was clean, comfortable and very well equipped. We appreciated that parking, Wi-Fi and Sky HD were all included in the price. We were visiting York as two couples so staying together in an apartment was nicer than being separated in a hotel. The comfortable beds. We stayed in March 2013 for a long weekend and from the moment we stepped through the door we were impressed by the standard of the apartment. Everything was very well thought through - the kitchen has everything you could need or want. It was very clean and nice and warm on what turned out to be a very cold weekend. A 5 minute walk into the city centre and 2 minutes from the nearest Tesco Express. The communication from the manager, Bea was second to none and I would recommend staying here to . I booked this stay for my fiancée for his birthday. We stayed in flat 2 Reubens Court, which was on the ground floor. Bea had left us welcome gifts of sparking wine, smellies, milk, waffles and some tea, coffee and sugar. There was regular contact with the owners and Bea before we arrived. They also emailed photos of the street which was helpful as the flats are behind a row of terraced houses. My fiancée was very impressed and we will definitely be staying here again. Phoned up and talked to nick day before to get detailed instructions on how to get into apartment and garage which was good as there is no one physically there when you check in but i did call him when i arrived as i couldnt work out which car park very helpful. The apartment was lovely and perfect for myself & my family. It is 5 minutes walk to the Riverside and city centre. All the facilities you need are there and the parking pass is great as free parking for the duration of your stay. Communication was excellant. Free gift on arrival of prossecco is a nice touch. Highly recommended and would love to stay again. The room was perfectly decorated, the whole stay felt like a home away from home and was excellent in its location as a 2 minute walk to the centre! Very good place for a romantic night away (that's what I went for) as its very intimate and gives own privacy that a normal hotel would not. We were impressed with the overall quality of the apartment. Well finished and tidy. In fact we recommended it to two couples in Starbucks on the first day of our visit. Spacious comfortable minutes from hustle and bustle but partment is in quiet street tucked away at bottom of a little terrace. Can't even complain about stairs to the third floor as there is a lift!. The apartment was an ok size for two of us but it is advertised as sleeping 2 adults and 2 children. The bathroom, although well equipped is tiny. The residents upstairs were loud on our last night, but there is nothing that could be done about that. Only deficiencies we could find were: No lock on the bathroom door and no non-slip mat for the bath. The latter would have been very helpful to some members of the three generations in our party. Nothing was like a dream stay. My only problem was the fact that the shower was not very powerful and it took a long time to have a wash. Only having spent 2 days there. Our gps had a difficult time locating the apartment on arrival. The main bathroom had a bath and hand held shower. I prefer a normal shower so I had to use the one in the ensuite room. The balcony could do with a clean. Can' t fault it really. There wasnt much of a view though you do get a good sense of the built up nature of the old city from the windows..overlooks back yards of terraced streets. Bath/shower arrangement would be awkward for anyone not very mobile. Small niggles: having to empty dishwasher on arrival,plastic bottle found under sofa.Drawers in second bedroom had fronts hanging off.Maintenance and cleaning standards require some attention. Parking was tight but it wouldn't put me off. The wall radiators were hard to figure out. Nothing. nothing. There were a few minor stains on the carpet but apart from that everything was great. carpet a little grubby in places. shower cubicle could be cleaner. initially worried about location at the end of a street of run-down properties. no kitchen roll or pen in the apartment. I admit some of these are a bit picky and wouldn't stop me staying there again. Bathroom is quite small but good enough. Nothing!. Nothing!. Only faults were a few light bulbs out. No door to bedroom & thin floors leading to noise from the apartment above. The apartment could do with better mattresses, as the ones there were soft and quite uncomfortable; especially if staying for a long period. Shower was a bit under whelming and a blue ray rather than a bog standard dvd player would have been more useful and upmarket. The front door (to the apartment) needs attention. Nothing would stay again and recommend to others. Working out how to use the combination - washer/dryer proved difficult. Unfortunately Northern Gas were doing work in the area and it was difficult to pass some of their work. There were young children in the apartment above us and due to the nature of the building we could hear them playing. Perhaps some insulation in the ceiling/floor!. Slow lift! Stairs. Some items need attention and maintenence. Should be a radio in the kitchen. Could not open the dishwasher properly due to wrong positioning.rattling sash windows in wind. Nothing To Comment On. The washing machine didn't work & if it was working it look hard to work out instructions. It was one reason I took the apartment to catch up on washing. Also, it took a while to find the power point behind curtain. Toilet brush broken. Nothing at all.. Check in was not friendly having to make a call to find out how to retrieve keys & access the premises. After a long journey, it was a pressure for weary travellers to deal with. Once communication was made, it was all very easy, however I would recommend emailing / communicating the details before arrival to avoid confusion. Nothing. Apartment could do with some internal decorating and carpet cleaning. Also the balcony was not very clean and full of bird feathers. Nothing!. Difficult to find. The manager did try to contact me with directions, but I was already in the uk and the first place I stayed did not have wifi. We did connect and he was completely helpful. Nothing. Nothing at all.
