The hotel exudes old-world charm: nice wood wainscotting, lovely wood floors, and Oriental rugs. A large first floor room stays open all day with complimentary coffee, tea, and fruit and a limited menu. Breakfast is fabulous. Whimsical light fixtures in the rooms add a nice touch. A close walk to the center of town. Across the street from the train station and several blocks from the bus station.

First of all, we love its location which is extraordinarily convenient. Secondly, the staff is very nice and upon check out, we could negotiate to pay only 2 sets for bedsheet, pillow and towel as 3 of us only used 2 sets ultimately. Very close to the railway (5 min max. walking) and to the city center (10 min walking). Kitchen with microwave oven and tables. The cutlery can be borrowed from the bar opposite to the kitchen.
The rooms are clean and the shared bathrooms are most of the times clean (mostly depending on the other guests which are sharing the bathrooms with you).
The room had an electrical heating system, which was very good.

Great breakfast with a very good range of options. Helpful and pleasant staff. We had an internal room & although there was no natural light, it was silent so we slept brilliantly. It was a good size and had everything you would expect. The location is great: very central and it is easy to walk to all the attractions of the city.

Room was very large and very comfortable for a family of four. The staff
was accommodating, breakfast was good and the hotel was clean and
comfortable. We had taken it as a stopover before our trip of the
Fjords, the hotel was a great place to spend the night specially since
we traveled from Oslo and reached late, there were enough places to grab
a bite even at 11 in the night.
