The hotel is close to Ben Thank night/day market. The rooms are comfortable with ensuite. There is a steam/shower/bath cubicle. Bath robes and slippers are provided and bottled water is free. Once you've checked in and deposited your luggage the first thing to witness are the views from the 16 and 17th floors. Day or night they are wonderful. Breakfast is on the 17th floor. The pool is on the 16 th.. It's small but adequate. Your room is inspected before you are allowed to leave.

Our room had an amazing view across the city and the dining room where breakfast is served had another great view. The swimming pool was great after each day of walking around the city. The free breakfast was ok - we expected much worst with the reviews we had read before going. I figured they are listening to customers and slowly getting to where they need to be. Breakfast was fine but we had better at other places on our stay. Only eggs as a cooked option. No pancakes or fresh bacon etc. Hot things were often overcooked or cold. Not much variety of fruit. We checked out early and were told we could get ready in the swimming pool shower. Not very nice space and cold shower. Other hotels lent a room for half an hour. Be really careful if you go to the Spa, which is in the hotel but doesn't depend on the hotel, they will ask you for a huge tip more that the price you already paid, and it is a strange atmosphere... Nothing. very bad breakfast (too strong + sweet coffee, dry + cold pancakes, bad tasting butter) the suite was very loud because we heard all the people walking at and swimming in the pool, the pool pump was very loud too. The spa part when you were asked to fill in a form with amount you were going to tip. breakfast was average. Nothing. The gym was not what i expected.They should have an actual picture showing a couple of gym equipment being placed by the side of the pool. The hotel's cafe is located at the top floors (16th & 17th floor), guests staying at the 15th floor could hear the movements of chairs & tables, footsteps too! It is also noisy when the passenger lifts stop, due to mechanical fault. The shower bath in the premium deluxe room looked impressive but user unfriendly. The water temperature is inconsistent, it turned cold or to very hot while showering! Room furniture have a layer of dust & little room space to move around. We had to change room due to faulty air-con and a blocked shower drain, but the staff didn't make a fuss. Room was quite small for the price. Overall we had better experiences at most of the 3 star hotels we stayed at in Vietnam which are a third of the price. It's classed as 4 star but facilities and staff did not match or compare to other hotels we stayed at in Vietnam (3 & 4 star). Staff not as welcoming and a very pushy concierge trying to sell trips (came to our room and phoned us...). Breakfast not great. We had a change of plans and checked out early. Hotel didn't make it easy to do this and required 3 conversations to avoid "penalty charge". Overall not great and much better value/experience elsewhere for a lot less money. small rooms, small pool with only a limited amount of bathing chairs. Bit too busy the area was hectic!!Liked the location of the Grand hotel in District 1 more. the food that was served in breakfast was not taste at all. the taps are not convenient to use. Bathroom not very functional, rooms quite small and a bit noisy at times. The decor is very outdated. Apart from the location, the rooftop was their strong point, but the space is heartless- It has no style nor comfort. I found the staff pretty moody and lazy. Breakfast was pretty mediocre. The spa in basement was dark and grim. The room is quite deem and doesn't feel good after the second night.. At night, the street is quite dark and no much shops are opened. Nothing seems to work in this hotel. Room next door was extremely noisy... After calling front desk, it didn't got better !!!!.
