The staff were soooo friendly and helpful. Of all the hotels we stayed at over our 4 week holiday, the staff here were outstanding and the best we ever met. They are always friendly, smiling and willing to assist. The hotel is very clean , comfortable and the rooms are large. Great air con and nice bathrooms with a spa. Breakfast was delicious - choice of western ( toast, cereal, jams tea coffee) and asian foods ( pho noodle soups, fried goods). They tasted better than some restaurants! No comp.
all reviews » I stayed at the Dinh Phat Hotel twice; one night on arrival at HCMC and one night before flying home again. On both occasions I was very satisfied with my stay. The hotel has only been open for a year and is in a great location on a quiet street just a few minutes walk from the Ben Thanh Market and easy to find again late at night. On both occasions my room was comfortable, clean and quiet with a lovely bathroom, a powerful shower and plenty of hot water ( an essential in the tropics ! ). It's . the hotel is clean, no insects and rodents have not seen. Very polite and helpful staff. Fast and the quality of all our wishes fulfilled: booked tickets for onward travel to Nha Trang, organized a tour of the Mekong Delta. On the way back decided to stay in the same hotel, booked a room at the reception - we waited for the return of our room and friendly meeting at the reception. The very helpful,obliging &friendly English speaking staff...Dung, the Manager and all the receptionists. We were four guests in a very comfortable quad room which was always clean. The hotel being in a very convenient location, was within walking distance to most places of importance as well as many good restaurants. Also, a short walk to the Saigon river bank. We were very touched by the warmth and hospitality of all the staff and a pleasant surprise of a Birthday cake for one of us, all . The room is clean. The mattress and pillow are comfy. Love the jacuzzi bath tub. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The manager is very helpful and replied to my emails promptly for this is my first trip to vietnam. The breakfast is delicious! Location is good, not noisy at night, 8-10minutes walk to Benh Tahn market. There are restaurants nearby hotel serve vegetarian, Vietnamese and yummy Chinese food with reasonable price. Excellent value for money and very convenient location in Saigon. Breakfast is simple but again, of good value for money: hot and cold drinks proposed, fruits and cereals in "buffet" mode. THE main reason to give "thumbs up" to this hotel is the staff: always smiling, always ready to assist you and able to guess what you may wish, helpful and meeting your needs. It is in district 1 where u find Ben Tanh market. About 5-6 min walk from hotel. We really enjoyed d restaurant they recommended, Ngoh resto along Pasteur St. Shopping inside and outside(night market) of Ben Tanh is great. You need to hoggle well. We sed this hotel only for a sleepover as we passed through HCMC. We got in late and left early. If you want to stay near the Market, this is he place to be. It is barely a "Siagon" block away. Showed the lack of one. What is the confusion with the address: taxi drivers persistently brought us to another place and circling on the streets. Customers who dared bringing a durian in their room, which was next to ours, wheteas it is forbidden. The smell woke us up and prevented me from eating breakfast. The hotel staff kindly cleaned all rooms + corridor on the floor to remove the smell. Again, thumbs up to them and customers, please behave!. in general, ho chi minh has too many motorbikes. Dangerous for pedestrians bec the bikes also use the sidewalks. It is a challenge. The sorrow you feel after going to Killing Fields and war museum. Don't turn left when you leave the hotel and walk that way, it gets very industrial. Turn right though and you're right in the heart I everything!!. The shower was a bit leaky and flooded the floor if you weren't careful. Nothing particular. Location is close to the benh tanh market, but a little distant from the shops and restaurants in the backpacker-district. you have to cross some streets to find some nice restaurants. A couple of nights I was woken up due to noise in the corridor. And one morning (7am) I was woken up by somebody moving furniture. Not exactly dislike but breakfast selection was limited to bread, noodles and stew. The food however, was tasty and filling. I have to go down for a hot water. But it is okay for a 2 ** hotel. English was quite poor except the Manager. Sould learn more. Everything was great except for the giant cockroach crawling up my girlfriends arm. But only two in our four day stay. Some rooms without a window. I need daylight. No window in the room and a bit strange smell when first entered. breakfast should be a buffet and extend more time 6.30-9.00 it's too short. I ordered food delivery in a restaurant and asked to phone me from reception so I could go down and take my food. But nobody phoned me and one of hotel guys brought the food right to my room telling me higher price. Maybe it's ok but I don't want this situation to repeat. You couldn't choose from much for breakfast. The street although central is quite dull. The coffee, fruit juices, fruit and baguettes are good but not enough choices for egg dishes. I prefer my eggs done omelette style but could only get fried. Nothing. Hotel is a bit noisy but most people go to bed early so not a big problem!. The electricity went off at the night and they turn on the Generator. The breakfast menu was medium level. I don't know why they asked me about my marriage certificate. Lucky I bring with me. If not, they won't let me in with my husband? Or he would just have been myboyfriend and...?. A bit too expensive, as for Vietnam of course I was supposed to get the room with view on the market. And I guess I got it, but it was on the first floor, so I couldn't see anything. Just saying. Breakfast selection was limited to bread, noodles and stew. The eggs in the morning were soo oily. The neighbourhood is not the fanciest, though not bad either. Nothing. Breakfast had not many options - maybe more fruit and some cereals. Too many motorbikes, so difficult to cross the street. room very small window. Stayed in a VIP room which was had a very nice spa bath, but no separate shower. The traffic in Saigon and the big streets close to this hotel were just a "mission impossible". No restaurants nor bars close to the hotel. A bit of a walk for restaurants, however taxis are inexpensive and plentiful. None.
