3 day, 2 nights, November 2013. Excellent staff, very helpful, travelling with an elderly person and received lots of assistance. Food very good, scenery amazing. day one we had the choice of kayaking or being rowed by local fishermen which suited our group having elderly person with us. We didn't participate in the swimming, water not inviting, might be the time of year, green, not sure if its ever clear. Two night trip integrated with one day trips, no problems, seamlessly managed. all reviews » We had a great trip through Ha Long bay with Glory Cruise. Cabins are well equipped, food was really great and they take care that you will enjoy it as much as possible. The guide girl called "Moon" was simply fantastic with explaining everything you see and beeing so friendly. I recommend to stay 3 days, because you will see much more and you are able to deeply breathe the spirit of this wonderful bay area. Loved the whole experiance, the food was very tasty, the crew was very nice and concerned, the cabins clean and cute and the tour leader a very nice man. Can thoroughly recommend. The only thing I would change is that I would have booked the 3 day cruise rather then the 2. Wooden interior is very beautiful. The staff were very attentive to our requests. Our kids liked Vietnamese cooking class. Unfortunatly our friends had cockroaches in their room, but the staff was very helpful and cleaned the room immediately. Relaxing. drink at sunset on the bay, good organisation for pick-up and everything, room okay, programme okay, food okay but I expected better. Each night all the cruise ships drop anchor In a safe bay among the magnificent mountains. In the early hours of the morning everyone is awaken by the noisy of chug chug boats delivering goods around the bay. Not a problem of Glory Cruises but something the local authorities could look into regulating better. They regulate so many things in the area, to insist upon quieter boats making deliveries would improve the whole Ha Long experience. A can of local beer for 2,50 USD is a bit too much, but on the other hand they have to carry everything onto the boat and store it cool all the time. the programm was changed twice, why we skiped two "sights". The food was all deep-fried. We did a 3 days/2 nights tour and had to change our boat on the 2nd day. The drinks were expensive.And when we come back we waited a lot of time to go out to the beach,more two hours. expensive for what we get.
