  The room was charming, comforatble, and luxurious, in a separate 8 unit building at the rear of the complex, called the Mill House. It came with everything from a Keurig coffee maker to plush white bathrobes to be used after you hop out of the Jacuzzi tub, and a nice wide flat scree TV. It was finally a facility that had great lighting in the bath... what people say » room so I could shave and my wife could apply her make-up. The bed was very comfortable, with nice linens. Although we didn't have the time to make us - We have stayed at the GMI many times over the past ten years and have never failed to be pleased. The staff are friendly, particularly Jane at breakfast who is our GMI hero - our kids have grown up looking forward to seeing her cheery face. She always remembers us, our dogs, our stories. It's just like home from home and it's immaculately taken care of. We love our visits and are already working on our next one.

  This is another great place where to stay in Stowe. This place is nice, cool and cozy. Owners are really nice and helpful so we felt very welcome. We like the breakfast as well as the pool with hot bath. This time we had the "economy room" which is small and little dated, but for the price still ok. Next time we will choose another room.   Absolutely beautiful! We can not wait to go again in the winter. All of the staff were very friendly & courteous. The views are breathtaking. The rooms were very comfortable with silky feeling sheets. The pool area was plenty big with room for kids & the adults along with a nice bar area to get food & beverages. The kids loved the area... what people say » with the 4 square, shuffleboard,& large chess. - We loved our room. There was a staff member named Ken who grew up in the same area of CT as us. Eat breakfast late, and you get to talk with the hosts essentially alone. Most of the others get up and out early to go hiking!

He let us put our gear in his garage and use his compressor to air our tires. The owner Julian is a real gentleman and very helpful, nice and friendly. I recommend a stay in this place because the human experience with him is really a pleasure.
