We love the beautiful center of the hotel with the hanging lights and water element. Also the location is right across from the Ferry Building so there is lots to do & see. Room service food was delicious. We had a balcony room and loved the view. This hotel has a great location for sightseeing particularly using public transport. Right at a bart station, the cable car terminus and buses and trolleys. Our room was excellent with views across to the bay bridge.
all reviews » When we drove up we were welcomed by Kenneth who took care of us our whole visit. Reception staff got us a room right away 1pm, and sent extra amenities. Great location for cable cars. The location for transportation (BART, cable car etc) great. Clean modern spacious room with a great view (17th floor) of the Bay Bridge. Helpful staff. Very good facilities, great location and beautiful accommodations. Friendly staff and exceeded expectations of what I had been used to from traveling. Rooms were spacious and bathroom had good lighting and magnifying mirror. Maids were there in a timely way. Location is wonderful. The elevators and bottom floors were confusing. I kept having to go up and down the escalators to find the elevators. I was there for a conference. The bed was comfortable but a little saggy--hard on the back. Empty minibar. Self Parking is down the street and$32/night but not a bad price in sF. Valet parking$71. I think the prices were a little high for just a two day stay. The construction was an issue...very hard to get a taxi....asked where to get one and they pointed us to a corner where one never showed...we ended up walking to our restaurant 5 blocks away...disappointing. It was a bit pricey, for the price I paid I would have expected the rooms to be a bit more updated. Bathrooms could do with a makeover. However,the rooms were still ok and I had a great view. Street construction made getting into the lobby kind of a pain!. The prices. Nothing!. The blow dryer is a wall unit and took forever for my girlfriend to dry her hair. Small room. The price for parking was crazy expensive! I know it's sf and parking is a premium but I felt like itwas over the top!. The $61 dollars per night for parking. Ridiculous!!!. The rooms where 3 stars not 4 stars rating. cost of parking cost of drinks carpet in room was in poor condition. The price. We had to pay 95.00 dollars for a late check out. Small bathroom. The water didnt get hot and the water pressure was poor. Reception personnel where cold next day much friendlier. The shape of the room was odd. I didn't like have the vanity area in the bathroom. I was woken up 7:00 am on the Sunday morning by loud rock music and a speaker from several feet below us due to some sort of medical convention. Also, no room service past 11:00 pm. Lots of construction going on in front of the hotel, not easy to get in and out of. On Sunday morning we had to get going early and the Hotel had NO HOT WATER.... We had to take a cold shower (Not Good).. I know it is not there fault but I think we should have been compensated but they couldn't do anything because we booked it with you. If you could help in anyway it would be appreciated... Not very clean. Room furniture is dated and tired. This is an old property in need to an overhaul. Road works outside the hotel. The room was poorly cleaned, dirty socks left on floor used coffee in m/c ripped arm chair. All these were put right on the second time of asking and the hotel did adjust the price but not good. Very cheap and dated furnishings, parking was $61/night. Hotel is far too expensive for its level of comfort and service. A Front desk female person was unreasonably unkind, and ignored my request although my English was poor. price/value old but expensive.
