It was perfect~didn't want to leave! Loved the peaceful area and forest that makes you feel like you are miles away from your neighbors, the house was beautifully designed and cozy, enjoyed the fireplace, hot tub and full kitchen. Manager was wonderful to work with too-very welcoming and accommodating. We can't wait to return!

EVERYTHING!! the cottage was extremely quaint, peaceful and private. it felt very homey and comfortable. landscape surrounding the cottages was quite magical. though it's near the main road, it wasn't noisy. the gardens were lush and green. Dixon the cat has his own beautiful resting place and Mr Webber, duck is his refreshing replacement : )

This is a great resort! The units are spacious and well equipped. They even have electric blenders,beaters and an ice bucket and numerous bbqs. Lots of colourful birds flit around in the trees and there's lots of other cute wildlife. Its only a short drive to the best supermarket we found in Hawaii. A very friendly B&B in Pahoa, the innkeeper, Irene, was super
friendly and helpful. I was feeling ill the day I arrived from a week-
long cold, and Irene made me ginger tea immediately. I felt so much
better the next day. It's a motherly touch that a large resort
cannot replicated (which I stayed at before arriving at Lava Tree).
It's something so small as that that can change your entire vacation
and make it bettter. The home was clean and the breakfast was delicious.
