  The desk staff was helpful and cheerful. We ended up with a private bath as well, which was really nice. The room was small and there wasn't anything fancy, but it was perfect for what we needed (a bed to sleep on and a place to shower in the morning). The building has seen a lot of wear but the room, linen and bathrooms were absolutely clean. The mattress was comfortably firm. The room was quiet. Temperature was comfortable.   Size of room was good compared to NY rooms. Staff were extremely helpful. Very clean and location is excellent whilst quiet at night. The hotel is exactly as it is described and we were not disappointed.

  It's not easy finding reasonably affordable yet good-quality self-catering accommodation in New York City, but this was perfect! As a young woman travelling by myself, I felt I had to keep my wits about me on the street, but everything was fine (just be sure to use commonsense). The train station is very close, and the local grocery store is only ... what people say » around the block. It's not the wealthiest area, but it's obviously a family area. I was immensely impressed with the chap who carried my heavy bag up - This is a good alternative to staying in downtown Manhattan. Coming from a small UK town the area was a bit of a culture shock. Spacious appartment with everything you need for a short stay. Subway stop just around the corner so easy to get downtown in 15 to 20 mins. You can also walk to the Guggenheim in a similar time. A couple of nice restaurants nearby and a supermarket if you want to eat in.

  Have to admit I was a little anxious about whether this was a good choice, but it turned out to be perfect! Apt was very clean and newly updated (nice tile, hardwood, cabinets). Seemed very secure. Staff was very responsive-we got in late (11:30p) and no issues w/ getting in side-the representative basically appeared and politely introduced himsel... what people say » f as we walked up to the apt entrance . If you are looking for a value rental (and don't expect 5 star for three start prices) this is definitely the - The apartment is very strategically located very very close to Times Square and easy access to public transportation. It was clean.

  What did I like? Just about everything! The front desk staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. The restaurant "Serafina" was excellent. The beds were heavenly (like sleeping in a big cloud), and the bathrooms were clean, well-appointed and modern. Loved the soap/shower gels/shampoo provided. Great location.
