We stepped off the street and into the past. What a place to stay at. One of the highlights of our stay in America. We were met by Felicia, the gracious hostess, and shown around the house and to our room furnished with period furniture with the mod cons discretely available. Breakfasts were a delight in the formal dining room setting of a colonial home. We were given a code for the front door so we could arrive at all hours and immediately set off to a nearby subway to see the town. Felt s.
all reviews » Kiki, I guess the house manager, has been brilliant. She has fixed our room arrangement issue and has been helpful on many other things. We love the room setting - very homy and luxuries at the same time, bathroom/towels are very clean. Have to mention the breakfast too - good selection and extremely nice dinning room. The house was located in an historic, quiet neighborhood easily accessible to transportation. The house was charmingly decorated in lovely antiques. I felt like I was visiting a caring friend's beautiful home. Everyone was so warm, inviting, and helpful. The staff are wonderful! So nice and thoughtful. They even planned a birthday surprise for my daughter. The room was lovely and very comfortable. Food was excellent!!! Close to the subway. Overall excellent. This was our second stay and will come again. Renovated very classic old charm. Very clean. Easy free parking just few blooks at NYCity College,safe walk at night because the City college security and police.great space ,quiet. If you have car and gps then Manhattan center is just 10 minutes away. Great experience. The host and her staff were very nice and caring. The included breakfast was very good. There was nothing. Thanks Felicia. The location is a bit off the centre. As the home is representative of an earlier time, there are only stairs. The neighbors dogs were a little loud one night. But that's city life. Everything is very clean. However, there are lot of carpets in the house with lot of stains which makes them look dirty. They are changing lot of things there, and I think that they will change these carpets soon. there where a few things that could have been better with our room but over all it was well worth the price. Hopefully they corrected the things we left on our check out list. We knew we had to pay an extra $20 but were a bit surprised to also have to pay an extra $35 a night in taxes which I would have thought should have shown up in the room rate. Hence a cheap $210 two night stay became $300- still good value for what we got but it would have helped our budgeting for the trip to know the total price up front. common bathroom. everything was perfect. Shared bathroom. the fix hour for breakfeast (9 o'clock) may be not convenient for everybody...!?. I booked one room with three beds, but when we arrived we was told that we had to live in two room with one bed, so we had to pay additional fee. what' more, breakfast begins at 9:00 am, it's too late for tourists!. and a must for everyone who. Location. one bathroom in whole hotel hard to get in in the morning tv didn't work poor internet.
