This hotel is absolutely wonderful- a breath of fresh air. From the time we arrived early to the time we checked out the entire stay was so easy. The staff are all extremely welcoming and friendly, the rooms are amazing and the rooftop bar has the most brilliant views. Wine hour every afternoon is also a nice little perk to staying here! Also, the location is great. It's close to Times Square and local neighbourhoods in which there are plenty of great restaurants and bars, but not too close tha.
all reviews » We had a terrific view from our Hudson Suite of the Macy's July 4th fireworks; it was the most important factor in our choice on ink48 and we weren't disappointed. The Hudson Suite was well-designed and filled with light - quite different from other Manhattan suites we have stayed in. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were surprised how close we were to the theater district. I loved this hotel as you have a excellent rooms, great staff and tremendous view of the Manhatten skyline from your room and an exceptional vista from the top floor lounge. Midtown is close, about 15 minutes walk so you don't have to be crammed into the crowd. The location near Hell's Kitchen offered a great walkable neighborhood with good restaurants. The roof terrace was a nice place to take a glass of wine in the evening and meet friends. Unfortunately there were some private parties in the evening during our stay. The location was exellent for our purpose. Upgraded to the 17th floor with a view of the Intrepid to one side and a small balcony overlooking the city on the other. The room were very spacious and clean. The rooftop bar view was excellent. The location was a short walk from midtown. The staff was very friendly and the rooftop view was amazing. I will definitely plan another stay at INK48. The hôtel is very confortable, the staff are very greatfull. The morning coffee free are appreciate too. The room was a great size for NYC, the tall ceiling were nice and the view was beautiful. We like to actually unpack our suitcases when staying for several nights. The room had 2 nice closets but no drawers. You have to go downstairs to get a cup of coffee! I would like to at least have a coffeemaker in the room for that first eye-opener. Instead you have to dress and go down to the lobby. The coffee was very good though. The breakfast could be better. Bar fridge and snacks a bit expensive. The bathroom door didn't lock. The staff weren't very accommodating. The rooftop bar drinks were slapdash and overpriced. The location made the rooms very noisy at night. The access at the bar on the top of the hotel are difficulte to access. It's always full and difficulte to sitdown and appreciate the view. I waited till the day of, so my fault, but I wanted to experience the spa and didn't get to. That the roof bar is only available for hotel guests children between 5-6 pm. Until 7 would be more suitable time. Only being able to stay one night!. Plastic glasses at rooftop, but I understand the reason. Premium prices for plastic?... eh. But best view in the city, so take the good with the 'eh.'. The location is a bit further out than we expected. No trains nearby. Rooms are small but still nice. at first we were given a room on the 3rd floor which had no view and smelled badly of drains. we were moved to the 10th floor with a view which made up for the 3rd floor experience. That we didn't get to see the roof top bar :(. Roof top bar often closed for private functions. We leave to late AR morning for have a bike !. Really late check-in and need to check bags prior to 3pm check-in. Check-out should be 10am; check-in should be noon at the latest; and earlier, if possible. NYC is absolutely filthy, but that wasn't your fault. The showers in hudson suite were stupidly small with the amount of space in the bathroom, plus the shower leaked so badly that the floor was a lake. Also the fact that restaurant and hotel were not copasetic did not work for us... location. nothing. Last day of travel the guests above us left the water running and it leaked down to our room which caused some distress and inconvenience to us. We checked out early even though our flight wasn't until 5pm. There was no acknowledgement or apology for our inconvenience. The only good thing was our things were not damaged by the water. The only negative is the location. 11th Av is just 2 or 3 blocks out of the way. The closest subway is a good 10 min walk. My only beef, but a big one (enough I may not stay again-the beds were extremely uncomfortable. In a separate room with two beds I had 2 other co workers with me and they complained, as well. I travel a lot-trust me, beds were bad. There were times when we couldn't access the cocktail bar because of private functions. Long lines Must wait until 3pm to check in. Hard bed, location was not very attractive.
