The staff are attentive,friendly and kind. The hotel is well situated and is close to the subway,shopping and many interesting parts of the city. The rooms are comfortable and attractively designed and decorated and the beds are amazingly comfortable. The linen on the bed is soft and the pillows are perfect.. The hotel is not overwhelmingly large so it has a more intimate feel The procucts in the bathroom are lovely. We have stayed at the hotel at least 4 times and we plan to go back soon.
all reviews » For our first visit to New York we wanted to do it properly and the Hotel on Rivington was fantastic from start to finish! We were well looked after by all the staff and it offered everything we wanted. A Room with a stunning view of the city, a soft bed and in a great part of town. Very cozy and friendly staff. The most comfortable bed and pillows ever. Quality restaurant. Great door staff. Very attentive to my needs. Very relaxing laid back luxury Boutique hotel. I will be back. Staff couldn't be more helpful. Bar / restaurant with delicious sushi. Unique rooms, floor to ceiling windows (shower included) with view of the bridges. Popcorn! Location. The views from our room were truly spectacular. Staff were very attentive and ready to help. This was our second visit, and I'm sure we'll be coming back in the future. The bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet. The door man made us feel very welcome and safe in a neighborhood with lots of foot traffic. Very friendly staff tried to accomodate our requests. Views from the Roof Top, views from room, complementary coffe and wine. stylish design, good help from young and helpful staff, good location in heart of NYC. Was very lucky to get an upgrade to a higher room: 2nd floor would have been awful! Beautiful decor in rooms Super comfortable mattresses & bedding. Great location. Staff good bar was cool. The water pressure in the shower. Its not bad but it could be better. the room was great but some of the finishings around light switches, plug sockets and fittings were a little shabby. The overall service was superb however the breakfast menu hadn't been updated on the room service cards so ordering room service was a slight hassle when it should have been a luxury. There is nothing not to like about this place. Although on the lower floors some of the views are not that great. Strange picture off the elevator??. Mineral bottle in the room was 4 usd for 1/2 liter, one elevator was out of order. kinda night clubby atmosphere on some nights, somewhat forgetful staff, gnarly view out of window. But then again, it's New York City. street noise. No drawers. Restaurant. lighting in bathroom not good enough for girls applying make-up!. Staff weren't particularly friendly or helpful. Over priced for what you get. Photos make it look much more grand than it is. Very very dirty. Looked incredibly tired and in need of a refurb.
