Pretty much everything was great(see Question 2.)-loved the open terrace and the guest facilities on tenth floor. they have a guest floor that lovley. coffee served all day and internet with amazing windows.Great location!!!!!. Convinent situation.helpful staff.The staff was very helpful and the rooms and lobby was very nicely renovated. Nice roof-top terrace and free use of computers.

New York hotel rooms are never very big and therefore was pleased that we chose to "upgrade" to a larger room which meant our room was a "standard size everywhre else in the world" room. Saying that the room itself was very clean and looked great. The staff were excellent. Location for Time Sq etc great. Great local delis and stores. Wld recommend to others for these 2 reasons only.For the price we were paying, it was exactly what I was looking for. A clean place to stay, hassle free. Central, easy to get around from. Good location in a not too busy neighbourhood.Location is not too far and not too quiet. If I had to be really picky the following issues, but they were not unsurmountable-very hot generally in hotel (the weather was very mild though) and heating adjustment in room should be easier(even instruction inclusion in client directory, no air-con, problem getting hot water on occasion and the absence of a bar in hotel. We had a very small room (but we know that all rooms are not that small). Also in our toilet the fan was VERY noicy. The bed was quite small. Noisy A/C unit. Sound proof of windows, poor double glazing on lower floors. some appliances too complicated or not working properly; impression of waste (maid turning on bedsidelamp and radio when cleaning the room). Hotel informed us that car to the airport was included in the bill but on arrival at the airport we had to pay cash to the driver which caused u delay. Hotel were very unhelpful when called to dispute the charge. The first night we were booked into a smoking room that was in the middle of the hotel with a fake window and everything reeked of smoke and stale cologne. Avoid this room! The next night they moved us to a 5th floor room with a big window. Many things don't come for free here (e.g. pay for internet, gym is down the street available at a discounted price, etc), but for NYC this is a bargain.The slow speed if the elevator is very frustrating. B'fast not include (but Starbucks was probably better). Mainly minor points. The rooms are kept at an unbearable temperature. Despite it being -7 degrees centigrade outside (yep it was cold) and despite both our windows being fully open and the cold fans on, the room never got below boling point. Spoke to another lady who had room on other side and hers was the same. The staff was not very cooperative, I could also say unprofessional. Didn't expect much, but a smile would have been nice. The night we arrived, the staff couldn't help us out much with our car or suggest a parking.The hotel is too hot. Rooms and the business centre particularly so. The latter was 80 farenheit. Windows and doors have to be left wide open to maintaqin a bearable temperature.The music in the small elevator makes you feel like you're in a computer game called 'My Gym Partner's a Monkey'. Another guest said it waws the slowest elevator in the universe and he couldn't believe how long it took. the room was too small - website said it may be queen or king bed and of course we got a queen bed even though I indicated that we had also a small child - we should of gotten a larger room if they had paid any attention to that - suggest you add upgrade option to size to king!. verry, verry small. Having to pay for the WiFi and breakfast with the already hefty price of the room (and therefore decided not to have either).Air condition blow directly to the bed - feel uncomfortable while sleeping, Internet is not free. Hotel use sensor in refridgerator and amenities bin to detect items usage so I cannot put my own drink in refridgerator. very small room (all items in the room for homunculus) and noise from the street. Housekeeping was not doing their job - lots of items in the room were not in working order - and towels too, were not given according to 2 to a room. TV programmes was a pain to watch, as reception was bad.
