the restaurant was clean and the continental breakfast had much to choose from. hotel location ideal for tourist....Everything. the hoel was very clean, and looked just like it did on the internet pictures, was great value for money, would go there again. Highly recommended, very good service and very friendly staff. Location, decor, staff very helpful.

The hotel is well situated although 4 blocks away from metro station on Lexington avenue,interesting shops on this avenue, restaurants near by, safe environment . The Hotel was clean, friendly and had all the facilities you would need for a stay in NYC. The roof top bar/restaurant had excellent views over the east river.Comfort of bed/staff was very nice. good restaurants within walking distance at reasonable price. The friendly staff. I liked the location and the staff the parking was $20 a day which isnot that bad for the city. The staff were very helpful with directionsand maps and very friendly. The hotel restaurant was great! The hotel has a good location. Central park is just in 5 block distance, subway is in 3 blocks. Bike rental is at the corner of 62nd street and 1st avenue. You will have an excellent view on the Queens-bridge (if you book that kind of room). The breakfast is great if you prefer fruist, but they don't offer any meat.Large room, also I read it was far from center and transportation... it is not true, there are 3 buses arriving near the hotel, less than 1 block to go in every directions, and a lot of taxi. Also very convenient to go to/from hotel. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom facilities nice. calm @ night and location. The view. location. The location. Large room. Location. Shower door. The lobby's furniture looks a little shabby, especially the couch facingthe main desk.the elevators are extremely slow. It's a long walk till you reach a subway station. The Hotel was fine, but located too far from the Metro station.Noisy especially on lower floors and quite far away from restaurants and bars. Breakfast was a little bit expensive (12 dollars). Not relating to Hotel, I did not like the fact the nearer subway station was 12-15 minutes walking.Yes, it is located right in the middle of the fdr highways and thequeensborou tunnell and has non stop traffic and honking horns day andnight. I could not sleep and many other guests also reported the same.And the glass tower hotle only has single glazing so its 24 hours ofpure traffic noise! Not for light sleepers. There was no coffee maker in the room.insufficient electric tap, lack of free wi-fi (even just in the lobby would be nice), cranky elevator, temporary failure of hot water. the smoke detector was hanging from the ceiling - we forgot to mention in when there. After I signed the invoice and gave my credit card I found when I returned home that my card had been overcharged for a different amount. When I called the hotel to find out what had happened they said a toilet paper bag was missing from my room. I said what is a toilet paper bag? I never had anything like it in my room. I realize they could add anything they liked to the bill to increase it. Breakfast price was expensive . It was difficult to take showers because the tap would only gush very hot water and cold water would only trickle a little.There was no hot water on one morning and the nearest subway station was a 10/15 minute walk. Ice machine location.The noice from trafic. No room tea making facilities?. The room was very hot. There was an air conditioner however it wouldn’tgo to cold only blew out more hot air. The shower did not drainproperly. The room is small but for nyc that is typical unless yourwilling to spend a Grand or more a night. problems with tub, heater. the lifts were very slow. Under going renovations-keys to room did not work-they ran out of hot water for a period of time-one elevator was out. The hotel was ok, but the internet service was poor. I had to pay > 30 USD for 3 days of internet use and the speed of the connection was at times extremely slow, so slow that I could not access my e-mail via the web browser. Other times, the speed was more or less ok, but it was never anywhere near what I am used to in my office or at home. I think the hotel should do something about this. The room was quite tight. The guys at the consierge desk are really helpful, but in some cases they offer higher prices that elsewhere, e.g. if you ask for Broadway tickets their price is double in comparision to the onces offered in the theatres.The interior and furniture are a bit worn out..... Renovation works (starting @ 7AM) on the same floor than the second room we booked. Only our room was ocupied on that floor !. Non of the lifts working having to walk 19 floors one day. Then only one lift working having to wait a long time. Sound of drilling from above. No Hot water one day to have a wash/shower. No coffe/tea in the room. very bad noise insulation against noise from the outside (bad quality double glazing) and not too good noise insulation inside. There was not free wifi, only paid one and even that not available inall rooms. The water preasure was bad. The water so slow to drain. The shower backed up into the tub. The quality of the cable TV was poor. The bed was too hard.The staff at reception werevery variable in quality - some could hardly speak English, - the hotel is noisy. The beds were too hard, no wardrobe space and no night menu service. Temperature at room. It was too cold. Really is a 3 star hotel. The stuff is not professional and notfriendly. Is really expensive even with us who have euro and the roomwas smell smoke. Cleaness.
