The room was quiet, clean and spacious enough. We enjoyed change of breakfast choices. Of course, welcoming coffee/tea and cookies made it like home. -

Beautiful location on beach. Great breakfast in the breakfast room with large porch and fabulous view of the ocean. Miles of beach for walking. Very close to Fort Clinch and 2 miles to downtown Fernandino Beach. The owners and all staff are friendly and accommodating. Bike rentals on site are very convenient and economical. I loved the wrap around porch where I enjoyed breakfast and a wonderful cocktail hour daily. The food was delicious. It also had one of the nicest beaches where you could actually find great shells. One guest even found a shark's tooth. The overall atmosphere was peace and serenity.

Booking was easy, price was very resonable. Check in was easy and we
were allowed to check in early. Right next door to a wonderful Spanish
restaurant. Still very close to the beach--an easy walk of 2 blocks.
Although we didn't have the opportunity to use them, the volleyball
and tennis courts, pool were all very well kept. -

We all had a wonderful time at the BLUE HERON INN. Julie was so welcoming and accommodated our every need. The breakfasts and cocktail hour were a bright spot during our stay. One could have privacy, or enjoy the company of the other guests. This is not a place to just sleep, it is the home you never had.

The hotel was very comfortable and clean. The area for breakfast was inviting and the breakfast which was billed as continental was actually much more. The location was great as one could walk to all the shops and restaraunts in the old town. I would definitely stay there again,. -
