Wide room, friendly staff, the hotel owns 2 buildings across the street from one another, just like having the whole city block private for yourself ! with plenty of street tables and umbrellas to relax, great freedom and space just like owning the block as opposed to being closed of in a posh tower like other hotels, very nice bamboo fengshui pool to relax for breakfast, also brand new top roof pool ( total 2 pools) with amazing 380 degree city view, 5mn from beach, free beach chairs, minutes .

The night was Thursday the 16th of May at 1130pm when we checked in. Management please thank the young man for me and groom him for more responsibility! We also liked the room and for the price the hotel was a pretty good value. Decent location and clean facilities. I would recommend it for a multiple day stay. Being . The hotel is exactly what the pictures portrayed. Rooms and lobby are very trendy and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and Jason at the bar was the most hospitable. He made sure that we were given attention and made suggestions for other local places to check out. He created a lively environment during the complimentary happy hour. The location was also good. The walk to the beach was only 2 blocks and getting the lounge chairs was an easy process. The continental breakfast is a great t. The decor was superb. Bed was otherworldly. It was so comfortable, it was like a dream! I loved the flat screen tv, the sitting area in my suite, the handy snacks! The bathroom was beautiful too, the dark floors and walls with clear doors, no futzy curtains. Coming back to my hotel, I almost felt like squealing EVERY time!. Mostly friendly to very friendly and attentive staff. Good situation: just a 5 min. walk to the beach and around 15 min. to the Ocean Drive. Rooms not very large, but very well equipped, stylish and clean. Free airport shuttle, towels or a chair on the beach and a free happy-hour drink make your stay pleasant.. The new accommodations are beautiful and very well appointed. This was our 5th visit to this hotel and for our needs this is the perfect combination of style, comfort and atmosphere. I have been provided upgrade immediately after it has been found out that hotel didn't have the room I booked anymore. They provided not 1 position higher, but luxury suite, without any discussion. The design concept, how nice most of the staff was, the free breakfast, the size of the room, the location, the free happy hour, the pool area. We stayed at the new building wich was awesome because everything was new. Everything was confortable. Loved the free drinks between 7-8pm. Clean, modern and fresh. The venue was nice (by the pool etc...), however table seating was limited and people had to sit wherever they could find a seat. Furthermore, for the price of the hotel the breakfast should be a bit better. If they correct this it would really boost the hotel even more. Maybe offer more fresh fruit and some hot items. Otherwise the hotel at breakfast time is no different than a Days Inn etc... I think the pool chairs/sofas should be replaced. You can feel the springs in the seat and that was not comfortable. I also think the organization of the bag check needs improvement. We waited an hour to get our luggage. It is not that big of a hotel that it should take that long. You can hear the movement in the room upstairs but it wasn't too big of a deal since it was during early hours of the evening. There was construction going on outside which was pretty disruptive. Also, there was not enough light in the room. The suite can really use an extra light fixture or two. I had to go into the bathroom for adequate light when looking through my toiletries in the evening. I am not yet 30 and I have perfect vision. The only point right now was the noise in building 2 due to construction work of the house next door and the road before. It would be nice to have towels in the bathroom instead of just around the sink on the other side of the bathroom wall. for the rest we loved the new room design!. Nothing. The Internet was not working properly, but for a workaholic who was attempting to relax that was a good thing. everything was super. N/A. The poor lighting design (especially in the bathroom and kitchen area), the cleaning staff timing (showing up most mornings at 9 or not at all), untrained staff giving various wrong answers to the same questions, price of parking. No parking. Buildings are not well connected so getting some ice forces you to cross the street and get it. Otherwise you can ask from the front desk, but no one wants to bother the staff more than once to get ice. I missed room service and currently (March 2013) there is a LOT of construction going on all around the hotel so the noise during the day was loud. parking is not free. We were there on business so doubling up in rooms. They were kind of small for two people to share. The manager I met was very nice but some of the staff was rude and not very knowledgable of hotel policies. Did not know about the construction....did not like that it started at 7 am...it ruined my stay a bit....valet parking was not run well...very slow....before we arrived it would have been nice to be called to be notified that check in was in a separate building. we had a problem with the valet parking. Nothing!. Needed a coffee machine. The ceiling is extremely thin. If you stay in the suites on the groundfloor, you here every step by the neighbor above you. Our neighbor was not really helpful. He was noisy every early morning (even weekends) and didnot change his behavior despite a friendly letter we sent him. Also groundfloor suites can be quite dark. Make sure you get one on top of the building. Streetside construction can be noisy atm. for some suites. We were lucky and got one where we didnot hear anything. Nothing was out my entire satisfaction. The bed. Bad breakfasts, it wouldn't be better than them in general, couldn't bring our boxes in time in number, two days went on a reception, all the time promised that now will bring... And so 4 times. Before departure, all our suitcases were in one place, and a bag in other building (it was necessary most to look for it). Parking sucks just like everywhere in Miami Beach. Allocate many $$ for parking. Either pay the valet or pay Miami pd. Your choice, but there is no third option. I didn't like the fact that they made copies of everybody's id's and held $600.00 just in case something was broken when I'm the one responsible for the room that I booked,especially when I have stayed there before. Balcony - we paid extra for was at street level and wet room shower flooded bathroom. Too small room can hardly move and absolutly no space to keep your luggage. No small desk to work or any place to place my laptop. Transportation was fair. Just ran on the hour & we had to walk from one end of the airport to the other. Back to the airport the shuttle just ran on the even hours so we had to take a taxi back. Should have taken shuttle because we got there in plenty of time even though the staff said we would not. Parking was no fun the price + the parking ticket the valet got me. 23$ I'm paying 30 a night for parking and you get me a ticket. The airport Suttle is late and takes lots of time to arrive, every 2 hours only they come for pick up... I did not like how dark the rooms were. You are spending too much for this hotel. Room size is very small. They have a free shuttle bus, but 1 hour before they were going to pick me up, I was told by email that the car had an engine problem and the reservation was cancelled. They didn't give me any solution so I took a cab and pay for it. Worms in my bed, two rooms. rooms is very small, difficult to fit any suitcases in. the guy that works at the reception and also does the "free" cocktails at the bar is VERY RUDE! Because of this guy I will NEVER EVER stay at this hotel again!. small kitchen, small refregrator, small stove. Breakfast was very bad. There was no place to sit. People with children had to have their breakfast on the loungers because there were not enough tables for the breakfast. Bugs coming in through door..hear guest next door through door and walls. No WiFi, no tv (during a rain). Modern but not comfortable room design. Sink location (next to the bed) and size (the faucet is small). Shower without a door. Terrible view from the room. Terrible breakfast in terrible place (in the lobby without tables and chairs). Poor stuff knowledge of the area (gave me wrong direction to a gas station). They do not have a local map. A very poor customer service received. They charged me for my room twice in error and then when refunding it they did not credit the full amount. I am still chasing this. I also booked a shuttle bus to the airport with the hotel but they forgot to record it, and nearly missed my flight home. Avoid at all costs.
