What people say

Loved the atmosphere on the grounds with the open-air lobby and tropical landscaping. The on-site restaurant had excellent food and a view of the pool and ocean. The tiki torch lighting in the evenings with the sound of the conch shell and great entertainer was also very memorable. All the people in the resort were very friendly and welcoming. Everyone would gather on the beach at sunset and a staff member would offer to take pictures of your party with your camera. It was a really nice touc.
all reviews » We liked how close we were to the beach. I left my sliding glass door open all night so I could hear the ocean. Very soothing. There are a lot of places to stay on Maui, I feel that I stayed in the best location!! Easy to get in and out. Hwy 30 just down the street. The staff made it extremely easy to come and go. They weren't pushy, but available when you needed them. Location was perfect- right off the beach and in walking distance to the grocery store and other nearby beaches as well as Dukes Restaurant. Amenities were nice, rooms were clean. I would definitely recommend a stay here and plan to return. There were everything we needed in the kitchen and the suite was big enoughs for three of us with living and dining rooms, kitchen, bath and a bedroom, but the daily rate was relatively low and reasonable compared to other resorts nearby. The bathroom had a fan, that's a big deal for me. Also loved how personal the condo was that we stayed in, there was a pic of the family on the walls and some boogie boards, kid toys and other things to play with. super friendly/helpful staff. they even have scuba driving lesson for free on property pool daily for hotel guests. amazing location with own access to the beach. very young couples friendly. I enjoyed the ocean view and size of the room. The pools were nice. The travelocity staff onsite to book tours was convienent. Central location, full kitchen was handy. Beach access. The comfort of the condo and being right on the beach. very nice settong and viewvery good accomodations. Two single beds in the 2nd bedroom made sleeping arrangements tight. The room advertised it would sleep 7, but that is a stretch. It really only sleeps 5 comfortably and we had 6 in our party. Two double beds is what I was expecting in the 2nd bedroom. Having to check out and come home. The flooring carpet looked old, which might be a development area for them to make the room better and more prestigious. The location may not be a 100% perfect for swimmers and snorkeling, as it is located a bit off the Kaanapali main beach area where other major resorts are situated, so the tides were higher, stronger currents, and many sharp rocks and reefs under the sharrow water. I was rather disappointed with the beach, it was not ideal for swimming and there was no room to lay out on the shore. The hotel amenities and parking fees were not mentioned the time of the booking $9 for parking and daily amenities $15. The facilities are bit dated but still very nice. The beach at the hotel wasn't good. I thought the beach would be better when I booked the hotel. The distance between different restaurants. dishwasher pouder and laundry pouder should be given more freely....especially the laundry soap.
