Excellent location close to beach and away from the foul street smells and crowds near Outrigger and other hotels. Room 722 was nice with a glimpse of the beach and service staff friendly, excellent and helpful as were the downstairs concierge people. Room comfortable with adequate space for two. I liked the situation and the auxiliary amenities eg. Tiki Bar and Grill. Great place. Short walk to main Waikiki area. Stop for all trolleys and tour buses. Across the road from the beach. Love the elevators- key on safety. No one is able to access a floor without a key for that floor.

Cooler bag for breakfast at beach is a great idea...our fourth time at this hotel. Security is great, have to swipe key at elevator then punch in floor. Breakfast on the Beach bag, very unique, get muffins, fruit, coffee, juice, etc. then sit by pool or better yet across the street on Waikiki Beach. Beds very comfortable, bathroom was good. Good location (near beach which is important for us). We only stayed one night so did not take advantage of all facilities. Breakfast on beach was great idea. I liked everything about the Aston Waikiki Beach - perfect location and on the route for most of the bus pick-ups for booked tours etc. The location was great, parking and baggage attendants were very polite and helpful. The balcony had an awesome view of Waikiki beach!. Location is perfect,plenty of food around the area,plenty of transportation,good place all around. Great location. Great service. We have never struck such an awkward and mean spirited arrangement anywhere else in the world. To fit an adquate breakfast for two into the single small plastic case that is supplied and carry it away as we were supposed to, proved impossible. The few tables near the breakfast table are inadequate. Woman at reception unfriendly to the point of being hostile unlike other staff. Rooms and balcony a little small. Paint around pool area is badly chipped off. Hotel not well marked, small black sign on corner of building. Room key did not work at first. Nothing. Rooms were a little small for the price I paid, no coffee pot in the room was disappointing. Would have been great to have coffee on the balcony. Couldn't find anything. The walls are very thin so you can hear any noise, from the hallway and all surrounding rooms. Breakfast is served out by the pool, which is nice, but there are not enough chairs and tables for guests. The room we stayed in could maybe need a bit of updating. The downside to having a room with a beach front view is that it is probably a bit more noisy than the rooms to the side. There is a street between the property and the beach. The continental breakfast wasn't my favorite. No place to sit and very disorganized. Pretty much an excuse for the whole mandatory $18.00 a day fee. The 18 dollar fee is obnoxious, because you are changed for things you may not use, and are then taxed on that charge as well the bar around the corner can play the music VERY loud, very late; 2 am. if you're in the front or the diamond head side, better bring ear plugs (which the hotel does not have for you). The area is a bit far from the nicer shopping. Rooms looking "tired" --needs remodeling. Two double beds when one was all we needed. not enough seats for breakfast. wind noise as it w\blow through hallway (we were in 1203). breakfast ends way to early, 9am ,some people go out at night too, breakfast should be served until 11am at least. the gym is lacking in machines. I also don't like the homeless taking up the side walk day and night around the waterfront, they need too be removed continously, not what visitors come to see. Hearing the toilets flush from other rooms. The expensive parking and amenities fee. No choice with neither. I felt taken advantage of. I have experience a much better continental breakfast at a Holiday inn, 1/4 the cost, which provided protein with their breakfast. Did not like the continental breakfast choices which was full of carbohydrates. And close to rotten fruit that I was afraid to eat very over priced would not stay there again nor recommend it. The price is higher comparing with others hotels near by. The atmosphere was funky. For example, the check-in desk was right next to the swimming pool. Our room was funky...cheap décor, cracked tile in the bathroom, etc. The elevator system was confusing...you swipe your room key, then run for the elevator the display tells you to use. For over $200 per night on our last night of a great vacation, I could have done better. Some of the staff not so friendly and the food at the restarant was not great. Food not cooked so was taken off the bill which was good but the experience was not. front desk was slooooooooooow valet was slooooooow hot water took forever. Hidden extra charged from the hotel to room rate that we got from letsbookhotel.com made us pay more than expected. the surcharge should be optional and should not be charged for check in or check out days as there is no possibility of using the facilities on these days. The first point was the breakfast, for me was very new way to have a breakfast, mainly because even if it is raining they are still serving on the same place, and of course you will get wet. Another point is the swimming pool, is really located in a good place, but need renovate, the floor surrounding needs to be changed. For the price that we had been payed, ( not a pick season) we waited more for the hotel. Poor Value, everything was an extra charge and the room was quite small. Bathroom was barely tolerable. We paid a few dollars more and moved to the Outrigger Hotel. Bigger room/bathroom with internet and no road noise. Very dated and worn Bathroom mat grubby Sliding door was hard to open until we got in maintenance Had to be at breakfast early otherwise run out. No Free Wi-fi and safe box in the room.
