The staff was very friendly, helpful and professional. The hotel was beautiful with alot of nice "little touches" like scented candles lit in the lobby area at night. It is centrally located and very easy to get around. Concierge staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. We were upgraded to a corner suite room that had a beautiful kitchen area with a nice selection of "tools" to use in food prep or reheating. In addition to coffee, there is a toaster, microwave, oven, cook-top and refridgerator.
all reviews » Staff are very welcoming and helpful. Hotel is really clean and comfy. Location of the hotel is amazing especially the view from the top levels is marvellous. The room was spacious and covered us all 5 adults and a kid. In house coffee bar was great they had nesperesso machines and the capsules were provided everyday. Hotel staff were helpful in finding us taxis while we wait in the lobby and it was really quick. Once we arrived they gave our kid a gift. Top class hotel. Donald knows how to built hotels that's for sure! Very modern chic design. The building really contributes to the Chicago Skyline. The staff were always smiling and helpful. Very clean, safe, great location, fantastic terrace, nice pool. Everything ! The Spa the room service, the dining, the views, the staff, the pillows!!!! The bed was the most comfortable bed we have ever slept on even better than our own !!! If your looking to pamper yourself this is the place!!!. Superb hotel. I wish all hotels had service like this. I'd recommend they stay there so they can learn what good service actually is because most don't have a clue. Trump in Chicago and Soho, New York have it down to a fine art. We had some issues with some items in our room but they were addressed immediately by the staff when they were brought to their attention. The support was excellent. I missed a jacuzzi next to the pool but not a big deal. The bed skirt was warn and had many holes and rips in it. That shocked me a bit but again not a big deal. A couple of things I noticed. While having a masage it is very quite with low lights and when they use hot towels the doors slamed which took you from totaly relaxed to alert. That should be worked on. The masage was gret otherwise. The pricing for services listed in the room did not reflect the prices charged? Seems odd for a Hotel so about details. Nothing. The wine was overpriced for what it was (we like wine). No bedside control for the curtains. nothing. Food us pricey .. Price. It's pretty expensive, but not a poor value if you don't mind paying for service. Sushi ad Rebar not to recommend. price, sliding bathroom door in room, slow elevators, fold out bed quality. expensive breakfast and the breakfast staff were too attentive - too quick to take away plates etc. Made for a very unrelaxing breakfast. The price of snacks and wine in room. Pricy $. The way that front staff answer guest is cold (quite look down). I expect something better from 5 star hotel. price. Almost there is no lobby, and entrance compared to the size of the hotel, they replaced the tea and sugar I used in the room only when I requested. Housekeeping came around at about 10:00 at night wanting to know if we needed anything. This is a great idea but when you are traveling with young children 10:00 is a little late to be knocking on the door. Nothing. I was hoping to go to the top floor but was later made aware that only lower 1/3rd of the building is hotel. rest of the building is private apartments. Just think its pricey. the room was small and didn't have a reg coffee maker or a hair dryer. the pullout bed for by kids was uncomfortable. you where afraid to touch anything because everything even water came at a huge extra cost. Facilities were not commensurate with the expectation. Somewhat worn already, with some items not working - blinds, etc. And the windows were designed to open, but have been screwed shut. The upper bar was closed during our stay, no reason given.
