This is a good location. The red line subway is just next to the main hotel entrance. The Magnificent Mile is a couple of blocks away. There are many restaurants within walking distance. A one page list was provided by the hotel. A business center is provided by the hotel where you can check the internet and print off information without charge. This is handy if you want to print an airline boarding pass, for example. The staff were helpful.
all reviews » Our room was very spacious and quiet. They put us on the top floor, next to the stairwell so we didn't hear any street traffic. I loved how quiet the bathroom was. The lights didn't buzz and the toilet wasn't loud. I was very impressed by the staff at the front desk and would stay at this hotel again in a heartbeat!. About people... they really understand what you need and try to do everything for you. Friendly staffs, even in the restaurant to have breakfast everybody were amazing and sweet. They really care about you. Hans Kumler was the best concierge in town. If you need something ask him. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were traveling with preteen children so we were on the go and not sure the best way to get places. The staff was always willing to help and very kind. The location was perfect, so close to shopping and all kinds of restaurants. Loved everything about this place. The staff was really friendly, the room was clean and had lots of space. Used room service once, too - the meal was delicious (a bit pricey, indeed - but worth it). Overall, an excellent hotel. Would definitely stay here again! :). Super convenient for Mag Mile shopping and to hop on the Red Line as its right outside. Jewel Market across the street for some cheap breakfast eats to keep in the fridge. Nice pool with a view from the 12th floor. Reasonable restaurants nearby. Local proximity to everything. Train drop off immediately in front of the hotel. Bus system easy to use from hotel. The attention to details were fabulous they sent a bottle of wine to our room when they found out it was our 31st wedding anniversary with a personalized card as well wonderful. The staff was wonderful. We had a problem with our bed and they did everything they could to fix the problem. Free wifi everywhere, cookies at night, newspapers in the morning. The position of the hotel is excellent. Close to everything and sorrounded by Several among the best bars. The staff is friendly. Hot tub and pool are very nice. For instance, the bathroom sink would not hold water. One toilet paper holder kept falling off. The holding device for the ironing board was loose because of a screw missing. The small in-room refridgerator did not sit properly and rocked when you opened it. These were minor issues but detracted somewhat from the overall experience. The matrix was not so good. and the view of city was poor too. Didn't stay longer. Non-hotel related. City did not provide signs for distance or directions to many attractions. Hotel related. Elevator service was very slow. The hotel does not have safes in the room. There were no ropes or shoes that Could be used to reach the pool area. It would have been nice to have those, we didn't think of it an didn't bring Any. Minor elevator congestion upon checkout, and costs for overnight parking are kind of outrageous, but that's anywhere in Chicago, not just this hotel. N/A. Staff was rude and very short with me, not up to the level of service I expect from front desk staff at all. Parking was not included with the room purchase, the onsite parking garage cost me an extra fifty dollars, which is not comprable with other area hotels. Nothing! I would absolutely stay here again. Hotel parking : 61$/day Parking just on the side (and almost accesible from the inside of the hotel) : 45$/day. Our original room had a leak in the AC unit, but the staff was able to get us transferred to a new room quickly. Bed was very hard; handicapped shower was difficult to operate: no instructions were given, and the system was retrofitted. Appearance was dark which made it look old, musty, and dirty. The listing said breakfast but there was only a Starbucks in the lobby and you had to purchase the coffee and breakfast items. Parking was extremely expensive!!. Staff were not helpful in giving general recommendations. Sheets did not fit the bed. A bit far from places we wanted to go. One side of the adjustable bed don't work so it was very sunk in and uncomfortable. My husband and I each took a night on the "bad" side. No voucher for parking. It cost is $82 to park in the ramp next door for two nights. :(. Overnight parking is extremely expensive -- $60 per night. Can't think of anything negative. Hasnt been redecorated this millenium. mattresses were uncomfortable. The bed was horrible, it was like sleeping on the floor. I had to lay on pillows just to get some sleep. There was a dial on side of bed to control soft/firmness, but it obviously was broken!. The swiming pool was on maintanance. No safe in room. Small pool. when I arrived (10:30 pm) the room that I booked with "booking" was not available (maybe some over-booking),but they gave me another similar room at about half price. The room was good, and really cost-effective. Beds are too soft No instructions on how to control Air Conditiong, some of us dont have air conditioning in our countries so instructions would be handy. I did not like the pressure to do valet to parking. Once we said no the guy ask my husband again and once again my husband said no, then he came up to me when my husband was trying to unload our car and ask me again. It was a little pricey. So was the parking. That we had to ask to have our room taken care of. We were out all day came back at 4 to a room not cleaned. So we had to ask to have someone bring us towels and make the bed.
