  We arrived to a great staff, great location. Wilson put us on the top floor with a fantastic view of Brooklyn. We had a 12 and a 9 year old with us and the hotel was close to the top of their list of sites that included all of New Yorks hits. 12 year old got sick and the staff let us check out late and even sent toast and ginger ale to our room... what people say » . The staff was very friendly and helpful. We especially thought Victor Balbi was most helpful, patient and accommodating with our needs for directions in getting around the City by Subway and planning our day sight seeing ny. He was always so pleasant & greeted us with his wonderful smile & friendly greeting when we got back from our day's outing. He certainly made our stay & visit to ny pleasant & enjoyable.   Me and my wife love the Aloft. We came here Christmas Eve of 2012 and returned for another stay for my wife's birthday in November 2013. I was surprising my wife taking her out then to the Hotel because she loves it here. The lady at the front desk asked me if my wife was outside when I made reservations and I told her how it is a surprise for her... what people say » birthday. She then told me since your wife love the hotel we would like to give a complimentary give to her. They gave us a great bottle of champagne - Absolutely excellent customer service. I can't speak highly enough of their courtesy, friendliness, and desire to make us comfortable. I was there with my elderly mother, and we will definitely recommend the hotel to others. They made us feel as if we were visiting friends, as if we mattered. That's highly unusual in my experience, and I've stayed in hotels of every caliber. And the room was very well appointed. - This is a fanatastic place to stay! It's very near my daughter, which is why I chose to stay there. My boyfriend loved searching the bookshelves for interesting things to read! We both appreciated the fast free wifi (there is also a desktop for guests to use free of charge). And our room (the Osborne) was hu... what people say » ge!! We will definitely consider staying here again when we return to NYC. - Rooms, building and neighborhood were beautiful. Innkeeper friendly and very knowledgeable about nyc. Staff went out of their way to help us out. All of this, and it was a better value than the hotels we could find in the area. Just be aware that nyc requires walking, and the subway was a few blocks away. And of course nyc is more expensive than most cities.
