  Hotel 140 was a great place to stay for me. I was traveling alone and it was located just a block from the train station. The front desk was great to help me in directions of the city. Very friendly staff. Also after I left and was at the train station having a hard time figuring out which way to go, a young man asked if he could help. Upon arrival I had taken the train from Springfield, MA. I followed the drive where the local buses pull into Back Bay Station right out to Clarendon Street and bore left. I had just a half-block walk from that point to the front entrance of the hotel.   The bed was very comfortable. We lived the warm cookies at check in. The staff was very helpful with directions and knowledgable of the area. The short distance to the T was also a plus. - This hotel was a convenient, comfortable place to rest up in the middle of a very long trip. It had everything we needed for that brief stopover.

  I loved the front desk staff. They were extremely helpful, helping us understand the train routes. The shuttle service was excellent, always on time. The morning breakfast was outstanding, many choices and different hot food each morning. I loved the turkey sausage. The room was beautiful and very clean. The cleaning staff did a great job each... what people say » day working around our mess of luggage and other items. They gave us a fresh supply of toiletries each day. The price was very reasonable. The lob - It was close to the airport, the shuttle picks you up, drops you off. The shuttle also works to take you to a local target and/or to the closest metro station. The room was pretty large, the hotel also has a laundromat (besides the regular laundry service for hotel prices) which you have to pay for 1,5$ for washer and 1,5$ for dryer. But I did appreciate it and did my own laundry -- it was cheaper than have it done at the regular hotel laundry service.

  The hotel is in a perfect location, in the downtown area with links to the subway. It was very clean and comfortable - not the poshest place but perfect for our needs. We loved the free wireless connection, which worked no problem, and free access to filtered water (no mini-bar, so no extra costs, too!). The staff was very helpful and friendly.   Loved the Inn itself. The design and decor were beautiful. My husband and I got the One Bedroom Suite and it was so spacious with a fully stocked kitchen (yes, you can cook an enitre meal), comfortable bed as well as furnishings. I loved that it was a keypad entry. Also, the common room/downstairs lobby was great by providing a wonderful continent... what people say » al breakfast as well as a great cappucino machine!! Staff was extremely gracious and helpful. Was much better than staying at a main stream hotel, and - Large, good looking and comfortable room with a very good bed and convenient kitchen equipment. Nice location in the heart of the Back Bay area of Boston. Very nice and friendly crew, particularly understanding and caring when we exposed our noise problem in the first room we were assigned. The small breakfast room remains accessible at all time in the day enabling us to grab a tea or a coffee whenever we felt like having one.
