The Copley Square Hotel is exactly worth the price....a beautiful, cozy, private and great place to stay in Boston.The top floor room, the Xhale restaurant, staff, location--great for shopping, museum, grocery store--who doesn't like to buy their personal snacks, even though the hotel does offer, for a price, night time snacks--tours trolley nearby and close to a green area for doggie walk. I stayed there in 2007 before renovations and thought it was great then...so make your reservations in c.
all reviews » The hotel is in a good location. Staff members are nice, however, I would not say that they were excellent. We actually did not have any particular problem with them, so let's say they are OK. The services of the hotel are pretty good, including the every day newspaper, the information booklet in the room (which was extremely helpful) and the free wifi. Those who usually use the mini bar should be aware that there was no such thing in the room (we do not have any issue with this). We were stuck during the blizzard in Boston. Rooms were very clean and comfortable, very very hospitable, good restaurant, coffee tea hot chocolate offered all day long, wine offerings every day at happy hour at the lobby, comfortable beds, very good location. Would definitely come again. They were also very helpful and informative about the blizzard conditions and made special offerings. Loved the "Wine down" hour! The staff were exceptional and went above and beyond! Everyone there were so friendly! The location is steps away from shopping on Newbury street and loads of restaurants. The "Mini Bar" at the hotel was the best place for drinks and people watching. No dress code required but it's swanky. From the time we arrived, we were well cared for. The doorman greeted us with both a smile and genuine humor, the lobby was small and well managed and our room was spacious and quiet! Free coffee in the lobby was a treat for early risers and wine tasting at 5pm was also a nice treat. The decor of the rooms and entire hotel is very elegant, but in a modern style. The desk chair was a little too big for the room and there was no robe. the noise caused by road construction nearby is distrubing a lot. Breakfast was good but needs to be more american. Bar was great but could be more welcoming for hotel guests; or why not open a hotel bar/lounge too. The room could have been larger. The room size was disappointing for the cost of the rooms. The room showed some wear and tear on the light fixtures and bathroom. The rather poor wi-fi system. Not "strong" enough and didn't cover the whole building and logged one out while using it. We checked in early around noon and staff told us room would be ready soon. Turned out the previous guest had not yet left and it was close to three hour wait. That would have been ok if we knew that we would have gone on sightseeing trip. The rate is a little bit expensive and room size is a little bit compact. The dark decor in the lobby. I have noticed this as a decorating trend (especially in Boston) but the lines of the interior are so interesting that they should be revealed with a lighter, brighter scheme. I thought the room was rather small for a King Deluxe. had some very noisy neigbors with crying baby. The obnoxious nightclub downstairs made entrance into and out of the hotel at night difficult and rendered it impossible to enjoy a drink in the lobby. The nightclub was so loud and intrusive that I doubt I would choose this hotel again if I were staying on the weekend. The room was too small. Very small bathroom. Expensive parking. The rooms are small ans bathrooms are tight. Old,rooms are very close so tend to be noisy. Room size was too small. Didn't want to spend any time in the room. Small room, but it was comfortable. Nothing. Bathroom seemed a bit run down. Room was a little small for the price. Small room very dark. the room' size. noise.
