The staff were great! After they couldn't find our letsbookhotel.com booking in their system they were kind enough to give us an upgrade for the delay in our check-in. The room was clean & comfortable & the breakfast was nice. Short drive into the cbd but we had a car so it wasn't a problem for us. Extremely comfortable bed, great breakfast in the morning (included in the room rate) which included both hot and cold items. A bit of a distance from the popular tourist areas, however only about a 10 minute cab ride to the 6th Street area, and about 5 minutes away from South Congress.
all reviews » Close proximity to the freeway. Not to far from downtown, offered a shuttle to the nightlife. Great breakfast buffet. Rooms equipped with fridge and microwave. Upon arrival front desk man was very helpful answers all our questions. The hotel was a nice, fairly typical chain. Nicer than your typical Best Western. Clean place, friendly receptionist. Overall everything was easy. One of the best hot breakfasts i have ever had. Cool modern interior, relaxing pool area and the attached bar had great food and live entertainment. Awesome, Restaurant in the building was great. Free breakfast was amazing. Front desk employees were helpful. Clean, well maintained property. Convenient to South Congress St and downtown Austin. Plenty of great dining options on s Congress, but you will need a car to get to anywhere except Starbucks and Dennys. Wanted to book an extra day. Using government card. Lady at desk wouldn't give me government discount so I had to book myself from internet . The location is so-so. It's not far from the fun places to hang out, but it's kind of on the highway so it doesn't naturally lend itself to walking places to go out. The housekeeper came by in the morning and I asked her to come back a little later. She never came and made up the room. Location next to a busy freeway. The mattress was too firm. I can't think of anything I didn't like. Beds were very uncomfortable. Breakfast was pretty ordinary, but standard American fare - waffles and sugary bread!. I was with a group of adults, 3females and 7 males in 3 rooms, the dbl beds were a little too small to sleep 2 comfortably. Luckily a few of the guys didn't mind sleeping on the floor. everything was great!. Was disappointed when bacon served with breakfast only twice in our seven day stay. Layout of hotel rather awkward Didn't like having a parking lot room as made it feel more like a motel than a hotel. The rooms off the interior corridors gave the hotel feel. Sliding closet doors did not roll smoothly. Bed not comfortable enough, a bit hard. We were charged four times the regular rack rate because the f1 race was in town. Did not get the Double Room that was booked.If available the Charge would have been $45.00 more. air conditioner and refrig didn't work-had to be moved- air conditioner shut off and on all night and woke me up. No smoking rooms. We got a smoking room which apparently is the default assignment. To ensure you don't get a smoking room with a 3rd party booking you must call the hotel and specifically arrange it. Bar & grill was loud sports-oriented and uncomfortable. Rooms are small for travellers with luggage and can be noisy.
