Excellent & exceeded all our expectations. After stepping in, we were greeted warmly at the reception. Then the lady (don't recall her name, but she stated that she was from Jamaica) provided us with a complimentary upgrade to a "Sea View" room (facing the "Palm Jumeirah"). Throughout our stay she was extremely polite and catered to each and every request of ours'. Stating that the suite was huge would be an understatement: 4 restrooms, washer & dryer, complete array of utensils & k.
all reviews » Friendly staff, the two-bed room apartment has two extra bathroom, Quran in the drawer of the master room and this is the first time to see this in hotel in Dubai, they sent a national day sweet gift which really suprised us, they called us to know if we need any more things in the room (not happened in 5-stars hotels), excellent location, very quite although there is construction near by, there are books in the living room (first time to see this thing in hotel), and great sea view.... More th. Everything. Help from the staff, cleanliness, a spa, pool and view of the Marina from our suite. You can't beat that. Very pleasant overall experience. My two teenagers, my mom and I loved the spacious suite. With a huge kitchen, three rooms and three bathrooms. With a lovely view of the Marina. The staff were exceptional. Very helpful and attentive. Inspite of it's distance to the Souks and the airport, I will stay there again. Like marriott as a home. Sea view room is great,so amazing sea view,from morning,afternoon,and brilliant night .if a big family or lots of friend here is a great choice.to marina and jbr both convenient.the king bed is so comfortable I never has such experience before.totally the two day I lived here is amazing for me.warm service. Loved the large two bed room i got it was Large. Loved the idea of geting back to my room to find a refreshing bottle of water and a green apple by my bed. The view from Dubai Marina and our hotel room is superb. The skydive was just a stone's throw and we could witness the international competition which was held there. Everything, from the hospitality of the staff to the nice, clean, spacious apartment! I am really impressed with this hotel and would definitely stay again. The view from our room on the 22nd floor over the Palm and the sea was spectacular. The facility was wonderful, the room was actually a two bedroom suite. Beautiful views just at the entrance to the marina. Excellent service from staff who were also very friendly. No point going down to the small lobby to check your emails and all. For the price we are paying it is a small thing to ask for. Nothing, everything was amazing and everyone was so helpful. Lunch and evening restaurant menus were far too limited. We were working nearby and too tired to go out on the town - after 8 days of lunch and dinner we were struggling to find dishes of interest. The building site of the front of the hotel to the new tram works. All looks somewhat abandoned. The new site next door not so bad but those reversing beep beeps were relentless!. Construction site around. If I had to choose, it would be the service in the Observatory. Our drinks sat for quite some time before our waiter finally brought them to us but by then, they were all watered down. There were three issues that put a "dampner" on what was otherwise a lovely stay. 1. Our "city view" booking was not a city view but the view of the wall of the hotel next door - shame 2. the over eager valet staff put the windows down in our car and we couldn't get them back up again. My husband had to repair the car outside the hotel so we could drive with the windows up again. 3. there are major road/building works going on in front of the hotel making access in and out ot very pleasant. The small deep swimming pool, the small swimming pool deck area, the small jaccuzzi. Minor nuisance, road construction and trolley being installed at the end of the street. Should be even better when complete. Major construction of new tower right next door which we were not told about. There was some noise night and day. However, the hotel did offer some compensation. The fact that they didnt come clean 2 days. The floor was little bit Sticky. The room internet could be included in the cost of the room like many other Marriott Hotels. Limited room service menu Food quality one evening was disappointing. Difficult to get to due to nearby construction but that temporary. Breakfast at 110 dirams pp was too expensive. Price quoted did not make it clear that an additional 20% of taxes would be added to the price. The linens and towels did not smell clean, I could barely sleep because of the awful odor. I told the staff and they brought brand new linens and completely remade the bed which helped. The lift is slaw The swiming pool is small that i could not swim it was crawdy. Construction around. Elevator wait. Bad smell from bathroom sometimes in the morning. Bathrooms a little tired. Building work, noise and traffic congestion which made entry & exit extremely difficult. Breakfast far too expensive per head. the service was a bit slow, everything takes about an hour. The towels was not clean and the sofa also. the design of their suites, but i guess it's the factor of making it pretty affordable in an amazing location. There wAs no hot water in the shower. Our stay was too brief!. -Finishing and furniture is substandard (not 4* Marriott) -Construction around the hotel was really disturbing -Room rates are pricy. Small pool & deck with poor quality pool furniture. more apartment-like than hotel...but that was expected. The road construction around the hotel. We had to move to another room because of complaints over noise. I think that if someone doesn't like it they should move and not us. 1- the is no wireless service 2- old furniture 3- price. The service not as good as the JW Marriott in Dubai which is around the same cost. The pool is also not as good as the JW and the pool side service is very poor. The bathrooms not as good as the JW. N/A. swimming pool because it's very small in size. Elevators are too slow. Two small water bottle and an apple for 4 people.... You can be be better than that.
