Late checkout time is fantastic too and gives you time to visit the Hamdan Street shopping area. Very clean and comfertable, and an excellant buffet breakfast,staff very helpfull,they should be for what you pay to stay there.There was an excellent offer for the weekend, Room with almost 40% of its price. Check in and check out process very old and time comnsuming. The web site said it was an airport hotel,wrong its in the middle of Abu Dhabi 40km away. The lack of a swimming pool. The beds were too firm. no bar but not a biggie as plenty just across the street if wanted. more selections for food. Either there is no extraction fan in the bathroom, or if there is, it doesn't work. The bathroom was very hot and steamy after showering.Staff at reception made me wait a long time to check in, perhaps a smoother process is required?. No hot water. While getting dressed in the morning, someone unlocked the door from the outside and opened it slightly. Fortunately I had the security chain latched. I'm certain they did not knock, which they should have done if they were checking to see if Ihad checked out already. Unacceptable occurrence. Next day, the hotel decides to down grade me because the hotel was full and the room assigned to me was booked for another guest!. Late flight in, meant all services like room service and bar already shut down. Inefficient check-in/check-out process. The checkin and checkout process is old and takes a long time.The carpet of the room was very old and dirty. Stone faced staff.Lack of a hotel bar plus three mistakes by staff. 1 I told them my card was not a chip and pin card yet they still tried to use it as such and then told me my card wouldn't authorise. 2 I was phoned in my room to ask why I hadn't checked out when I still had one more night to stay. 3 After checking out I was told manager wanted to see me. Kept waiting 10 mins then told wrong person. No apology. overbooked see above. I have requested a non smoking room which they couldnt provide. They uprgraded me to a suite but it was still on a smoking floor. unfortunately as a non smoker who can not sleep with any kind of cigarrete smell I have to say that I won't be staying there anymore since they can not garantee a smoke free room. reastaurant is very small and it is like a puzzle inside.No bar. this hotel is not cheap,although in abu dhabi you do not have alot of options to book via the web....I haven't told that there was no bars or any kind of spirits in the hotel. The internet connection, was very bad. the restrections of getting my breakfast to the room instead of having it at the buffet. I got a smoking room since they claimed to have no more non smoking rooms. Hotel restaurant is too small. Some staff were unpleasant. AC is on freezing without blankets and duvets...for residents of this country it is Winter; comment cards are filled out by previous guest; TV etc unplugged by cleaners..behind a hotel cabinet is not easy to reach; no taxi service; rude staff; no bar/alcohol in mini bar yet not stated in advance.
