Because the "Alex" is the only Hotel that I have stayed in in Odessa I do not consider myself an expert. But having stayed in many hotels around the world I will say this rate highly. The friendly service with a good level of English spoken was foremost. My room was a pleasure and the location very quiet yet convenient. Breakfast delicious and the Hotel a nice combination of classic and modern.
all reviews » great hotel as it was my second stay, i have the same suite as before and the fixed the roof noise from my last feedback... so thanks for listening... tried many dishes in the restaurant and have to say...very good choice and quality, helpful staff even if you want pizza at 2am..they can arrange... also try out the Harley bar cafe across the road.... really great selection of quality dishes... Hotel staff were amazing. The breakfast was incredible. In the US you pay $30 for breakfast that was included with your stay. Odessa is a beautiful city with many great cafes. The hotel was right near the main pedestrian street and the rooms were very nice and staff was the best. Very new and clean hotel, big room and bathroom. Located 15 min walk from the city center. Good value for money. I would return to this hotel in case of business trip, however would recomment few improvments of food and iron services. Very nice modern and travel friendly hotel. Our suite was very nice and comfortable. Great location to walk to all the sights and restaurants. The staff at the reception and the restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful. All Good. no feedback this visit... was a great choice. Bed was so hard. Not enough pillows and need a comforter on the bed. Also, it would be nice to have a true king bed instead of two twins. When sleeping with your spouse you end up between the two matresses. The restaurant was closed at 9pm, no other food room service was available. At least something could be available for the late arrival guests. Also iron cannot be provided in the room, however immediate iron service could be provided with extra charge. Nothing, all was good. The layout of the floors is interesting. it was a 20 minute taxi drive from the beach with variable taxi prices. Would have liked tea/coffee making facilities in the room. N/A. The breakfast table could use some variation, especially if guests stay longer than two nights. The rooms aren't exactly soundproof, there was quite a bit of noise coming from the hallway. No real complaints. Old-style market in front of the hotel. Mattress. Hard and not supportive in the right places. Breakfast is very poor. There is no space for socializing.
