I love this hotel and, certainly, will stay there next time. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was large and full of light. My windows were looking to the street but the sound protection to the street was perfect. The location is excellent for tourism and business; plenty small case and restaurants around; the working distance to Sofia cathedral. Stunning and amazing Suite! all clean, nice smell, all furnishings like a great Museum; so beautiful! In this Suite I lost myself in a fable... :) very professional and friendly staff, I'll hope to come back as soon as possible!.
all reviews » The best thing it's location. The hotel is under reconstruction, but it wasn't disturbing. Nice, quiet,refurbished room. Breakfest is in the coffehouse beside the entrance, staff is very friendly, breakfest is enough and tasty. Good location in the centre of Kiev. Nice rooms and bathrooms. Nice design of the interior. The bed also was very comfortable even though was a little bit small for a double/twin bed I reserved. Location of the hotel is great. The breakfast in Shokoladnitsa cafe was not bad, although they didn't have bacon which is in their standard menu for breakfast. We liked to be in the center : just two minutes away from the opera and the city old gate. We also liked the nice personal in the cafe next door. Within walking distance of the opera, cathedrals, independence plaza, etc. The room was spacious and wifi was included. Good location; nice furniture. Location, room facilities. Excellent place (center of city). The only thing I like is the location. Good location. Nothing... There were no restaurant in the hotel at that moment. Breakfast was served in the coffee-house nearby. Bad sound isolation. You can hear how your neigbour in the 4 A.M. jolly spend time with one or even two girls in their room. There were no hairdryer in the one of the room we booked. Standars rooms are tiny, no mirrow and wardrobe in the room. Standard + rooms are quite comfortable. No luggage room in the hotel - your things are left just at the reception desk. Breakfast is provided in the next door cafe - very slow service. Unless you come at 8 a.m. you'll have to wait for an hour to get an omlette+glass of juice+coffee. There were no regrets. The staff could have been more helpful, and the lack of small things, like free coffee and shower hooks in bathrooms was puzzling. No hot water in the morning. Large part of hotel close for refurbishment so therefore tiny lobby. Bathrobes were dated and could have been either softer or newer. While very clean, no fabric softener was used. 400 meters from metro, there were renovation during my stay, so it was a little dusty. There was problem with bathment fitment in the room. Tap was broken. The toiletries were not provided. No restaurant on sight. A bit too noisy street. Nothing. there was no restrant in the hotel. The room was very narrow and I found it difficult to move from one side to the other side of the room. The tv also has just Ukrainian channels not even one channel in English. The minibar was poor and there were no plastic bag for the unwashed clothes. The facilities, maintenance, repair works are rather poor. Although everything was in working condition, you can see some weak points everywhere. In the average level hotel the pomposity of the design just make you smile. Nevertheless the hotel is not the worst choice in Kiev where the prices for hotels are rather high. I would not go to this Hotel again unless they pay me... The people that worked there were nice but not very helpful/knowledgable about even the most historic places of the city and how to get there. You have to wait about 2 hours for your breakfast; dust on the furniture; we had a problem with hot water but it was fixed soon. bad cleaning in the room,no breakfast buffet (though the hotel claims it on its site), bad alternative to breakfast buffet (long awaiting time in a cafeteria). there was no restaurant as stated in the description. Facilities were inappropriate for 4 star hotel. Cleanliness was not qualitative. - Room cleaning only after 2 requests! - No drinking water in room. - Breakfast only in nearest cafee. - Room furniture and design pretend to be as in a palace, but in reality give negative impressions. Very low value for money as result. No resturant inside hotel. Hotel does not have restaurant can you believe?? Poor staff dirty rooms. I travel a lot and this is the worst hotel that ı stayed. Do not choose!!!!. From onset poor impression: bored receptionist answering mails on her phone. Room poorly appointed with no hanging space for jacket. My bathroom flooded from floor above: although I was given a new room - no assistance, apology or compensation. Staff unpleasant and not interested in work. Receptionist tired (looks it too) working 24hrs shift!!! Rooms not cleaned for 2-3 days! Poor cleaning. On wardrobe tonnes of dust! On 2-3 hr extension demanded €50! Telephone only works within the hotel. Rooms are vary little, bathroom in not clean and many persons of the staff are not friendly!. The word 'awful' describe this hotel very well. It's cold. There is no heaters, and central heating was not working when I was in Kiev. It's fantastically tasteless furnished. There is no any kind of 'service'. I even could not print document at the reception - because 'well, I do not know where to put your flash drive'. The only good thing about hotel is internet - it was really fast(like at home).
