  The reception staff were friendly and welcoming, answered all my questions. Room was lovely and huge - just what I want from an old hotel, and the bathroom was vast and clean. Room service was prompt and courteous. Lovely position looking up Welshpool High Street. Breakfast served in my room absolutely on time with lovely brown bread - not dul... what people say » l old sliced. Parking (when I found it) was more than ample. A lovely place, not pretentious or slick, but comfortable and friendly. - the location was perfect and the staff are so friendly and kind but i could only give a "good" because of the very miserable and unfriendly night porter!!! he spoilt an otherwise very enjoyable evening...The hotel is very homely and comfortable and i will stay there again.
