  The staff are very courteous, friendly and helpful. I loved the Victorian atmosphere and design. The food was excellent and so was the on premise pub. Access to the city center is a major plus. The only discrepancy was the beds. The mattresses are box springs basically. All that's needed are some soft to firm mattresses, bed sheets and blanket ins... what people say » tead of comforter and bed sheet cover. Cover's were old and looked dirty. Other than that on a rating of 10 (best) to 1 (worst) I say about 7. - Fabulous place! Like an old coaching inn redecorated in Edwardian times. Extremely elegant furniture and wallpaper, and a wonderful four poster bed. Why is this place not in the "hotels" category? I can't see why anyone would want to stay anywhere else in Walsall.

  Everything it was fantastic. The Spa room we had was so quiet and beautifully appointed. Food in the Restaurant was superb as was the service of the staff. - The service was outstanding from the people at reception, waiters at the restaurant.   We stay in this hotel, when visiting my son and family. All members of staff are always friendly, helpful and professional. We now get the same room when we visit, a bit like being at home. WE found the hotel good , clean and comfortable and were not preasured to leave the room until we were ready.
