Everything. The rooms were beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. The location was superb and the breakfasts stunning - fruit, yoghurt, cereal, muffins, followed by a wondeful full English. The hosts - Keith and Sandra - were fantastic. I can't speak highly enough of them. They gave us a wonderfully warm welcome and were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Wonderful people.

Avenue Park Guest House is now owned and run by Keith and Sandra Walker, who look forward to welcoming you and making your stay as comfortable and pleasurable as possible. If you require any help or information before you arrive, please contact the guest house using the contact details supplied on your confirmation email.

Avenue Park offers quality bed and breakfast accommodation in Torquay. The guest house provides modern comfortable facilities with friendly service and good food. The guest house is very close to the Riviera Centre, for conferences and use of the wave pool and gym. The convenient location means the guest house is within easy reach of the beach, the harbour, the town centre and the train station. There is plenty to see and do in the area surrounding the guest house, including golf, fishing and water sports. You could also visit Torquay’s zoo or sample the town’ lively nightlife.

There is a garden for guests. The dining room and the superior rooms have vies over the garden and parkland.

Please note that the Avenue Park Guest House is completely non-smoking throughout.

Please note, guests must obtain keys from a keybox on arrival. The property's parking facilities can only accommodate 1 vehicle. Free on-road parking is available by the property. Please inform Avenue Park in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation. Parking is subject to availability due to limited spaces. This property will not accommodate hen, stag or similar parties.

In Avenue Road / Faulkland Road, Avenue Park Guest House is the closest to the seafront (500 metres).

Avenue Park has a guest garden, with open views from where you can take a 5-minute walk past Torre Abbey, through the gardens to the seafront. Here you will find the Princess Theatre, harbour, restaurants and the main shopping area of Torquay a further few minutes' walk away.

Room information details

All 8 bedrooms are tastefully decorated to provide clean and comfortable quality accommodation. There are double, twin and family rooms (2 on the ground floor).

We can also accommodate twin occupancy in our family rooms if required. Single occupancy is available in standard double rooms or the twin room.

For more comfort the rooms are also equipped with ironing facilities on request.

Travelling information

From Newton Abbot on the A308: - Follow signs for Torquay, then for the seafront and Riviera Conference Centre. - Take the right fork into Avenue Road at Torre station/Halfords sign. - Follow the road through the set of lights and we are just before the next traffic lights on the left, by the red post box, opposite the park. Avenue Park is a 5-minute level walk from the train station with regular trains direct to Torquay Station.
