very comfy bed, clean bathroom, powerful shower, great breakfast, beautiful pool and jacuzzi, very friendly and helpful staff, great location close to Sandown station and town centre. Liked the fish tank in reception (like a home from home) will return in the summer for a longer stay. Staff were all friendly and helpful.Nothing was too much trouble.Made tofeel very welcome.

There was a wide range available on the breakfast menu but the taste varied and some days not well cooked.The music selection was somewhat limited. dinner menu not as good as expected {compared with lucombe hall last year}. the size of our room was very small we wished we had booked a bigger room. the room did look bigger on the pic we seen. The parking was a bit limited, the service at breakfast was slow, we found oursleves waiting up to 15 minutes for our breakfast to arrive even though the restaurant was quite and unfortunatly there was a lot of noise coming from the building site next door from 7.30am, which hopefully would have been completed by the next time we stay.Pool was smaller than expected but over all leisure facilities were good. No complaints !. The soap dispencers in the showers in the spa area were empty. Food was awful, inedible. Decor very 80's, too many different stlyes.bed was very uncomfortable. The cleanliness of the outside area by pool. Plates and the only ashtraywere left for a long time.We had a spa bedroom with Jacuzzi bath, however there was not enough hot water to fill it. We then went down to the Spa and the Sauna was broken. Room quite small. The swimming pool was too small. The food, it was over-priced, £6 for prawn cocktail (salad), £15 forhamburger, and not very good. Definitely poor value for money.Seemed a bit old fashioned in appearance Dining room very cluttered in layout. not enough room for car parking. had to park outside the grounds over night on double yellow lines which i didn't like. room and bed to small. no one on the bar had to keep ringing a bell, upstairs room had a party in there room and the noise was un bearable. huge amount of dirt that came out when the bath whirlpool was switched on. Bathroom was not up to standard, shower did not work properly, and the tiles and carpet have seen beter days. also the stairs leading to the bathroom can be auckward. waited over half an hour for breakfast on the first morning.Rooms were very tired and outdated. Service at breakfast was poor. I had booked a double room but I was offered a twin room in Melville Hall, as no other room available- imagine a young couple in twin room! On requesting they offered me double room in one of their other hotels, Luccombe Manor. Room was not good. One day price of room in this hotel was £80 but they charged me £90. As per lady on reception, i had to pay extra because i prebooked it through bookings. Dirty, old/tired room and over priced. The room and facilities were not a very good standard for price.
