The staff were so friendly, slight problem with the shower only being warm but they gave us complimentry drinks while the water heated up.Room was lovely, clean.Breakfast was delicious and an excellent selection to choose from, views from the breakfast room of the bay were stunning. The wonderful ambience, and the extremely friendly and helpful staff. The breakfasts were exceptionally lovely. A real historic feeling building, with all the modern and thoughtful service.

Breakfast was ok on our first morning, excellent the 2nd morning and we had a nightmare the 3rd morning with me sending my meal back twice and my partner once.

The hotel has been awarded 2 Rosettes from the AA and a level 3 dining award from the RAC. Service is friendly and unobtrusive and there is an extensive choice of wines to compliment any meal. Food is also served in the bar/conservatory at lunchtime and during the evening, for those who enjoy dining in less formal surroundings.

Enjoy a drink from the extensive variety of malt whiskey and liqueurs, including Talisker (made on Skye), in the lounge with open log fire. The bar also offers outstanding views over the bay.

Important information to guests

The hotel has one room that is suitable for disabled persons. Most of the rooms have space for an extra bed.

Travelling information

From the Skye Bridge:
- Follow signs for Portree (A87).
- When you arrive in Portree, follow road signs for Staffin (A855). We are situated on the far outskirts of the town.
- The hotel is signposted on your right hand side as you drive out of Portree, heading North.
- Turn right at this sign and follow this road, over the small bridge and round to the hotel reception.

The hotel is also signposted at the small bridge and at the bottom of the main drive.
