The hotel is very close to the rail and bus stations and also to downtown. Although we arrived early in the morning we were allowed to leave the laggage in the bar and go to visit the town. The room was very clean and confortable. The availability of the staff and their assistance, the nice size of the ensuite, continental or traditional english breakfast included each morning, and the hotel is located right in the center of Oxford, next to the bus stop from Heathrow or Gatwick! Overall was a good price and a cozy, comfortable establishment.

The room I paid for was spacious, clean, modern and verycomfortable. The toilet was situated right beside the room, whichwas convienient, and the hotel was brilliantly located right in theheart of the city centre. near railway station/value for money/good staff/good beer selection. helpful hotel staff. I only stayed one night A rather unusual set-up but the bed was comfortable, the bathroom spacious and the breakfast better than I expected. For the location and price it was very good.The room was spacious and we had a basin in the room which was very welcome. The beds were comfortable and it was nice to be able to make a cup of tea. Thin insulation between the walls. The bed mattress was thin, used and cracked and creaked - needed to be replaced. No - everything was as advertised.by bus station which was a little noisy, however this was only a minor annoyance. Not really applicable!. I drink a lot of coffee, and found it odd whenthe girl behind the counter said that "we're only supposed to give youon (cup)" when I requested a second. I had bought a jar of coffeeanyway, and she happily added the hot water to the coffee I supplied.She was friendly, efficient and the Full English Breakfast I receivedwas just that -- full and very filling. It set me up. drawing pins holding wallpaper up. It was slightly old fashioned and dated. We would have liked an extra blanket on the bed as the duvet cover was not very warm. Stairs narrow - would be difficult for disabled people. Being above a bar, the hotel was a little noisy until midnight but was quiet after that.no parking :( cost me £20 a day. Wasn't clear where the entrance/reception was. No big thing.We had a room on the top floor and my friend struggled with the stairs. However I will know next time. the noise coming from the bar below was loud. The storage heater was not working in room.The room was very cold on arrival,a convector heater was provided however this took a considerable amount of time to heat the room.The room was adequately heated by bed time. The shared bathroom toilet did not have a seat cover, pretty cold in November!. No bath. cold bathroom and no hair dryer. no meals upon request. there is only snack on sunday. Because it was overlooking bus station very noisy until 4am. The staff were efficient although were not that friendly - rather a cool bunch.The noisy swinging sign outsde the window, kept us awake! Just needs abit of oil!! I was sure that I was quoted £91 but was charged £93....nota big deal but can put people off. Noise. The toilet was not inside of the room. Narrow stairs-- no lift. Breakfast was not served until 8:00 am.Noisy until 2.30 am (it's above a popular pub and on a major street). There was only one small room-heating unit. It was non-functional and hanging off the wall. Fortunately the weather was not cold so we didn't need it. Not a non-smoking room (but we hadn't asked for one). toilet and shower , there was mould on toilet handle and shower didnt look appealing. I did not know that the reception is at the bar and that it would be closed after 11 pm. No hairdryer in room. the room was not very clean, there was no bathroom in the room, only shared one outside, which was not clear from the description. room smelled of smoke, staff was not very helpful. Very noisy outside the Hotel (but to be fair, due to location) Hotel is very tired looking but seems to be clean. This is a kind of hotel you only want to stay one night. The room was ok and the staff was nice. But it is too noise due to its location next to bus station. Specially, the bar downstairs is very noisy and the streets drunkers shouting after mid night.non -working television, light and lack of hot water other than shower. Noisy location and noisy music from bar. I do not like this hotel generally. My room was full of painting smell, that made me uncomfortable.The hotel was scruffy and the staff were unhelpful. The room had no sinkplug or spoon for tea making etc. The lower window was broken and theposition of the hotel was above the bus station and very noisy. Dirty with a very loud bar on the ground floor. cigarette burns in sheets, lights hanging off walls, dirty shower hose, no shower hook, broken bed and wardrobe leaning. Our room was on the top floor with a shared bathroom. Wallpaper washanging off the wall and some had been repaired with drawing pins! Thetoilet seat in the shared bathroom was broken and hanging off thehinges. On the second night we had shouting outside our room followed bya commotion outside the hotel and the next day found the window in thedoor of the hotel smashed. Very poor hotel.Separate common bathroom, stinky drain smell, breakfast only form 8 to 10, small room, dirty wallpaper...
