  Excellent. Staff very helpful as we needed an early start good layout of accommodation we were not disturbed by any noise from the bar or restaurant area.   We booked this online for a midweek short break and as a fusy person I am particular where I stay but this place was a little gem and we thoroughly enjoyed the place and owners. They were polite , friendly and knowledgable about anything you needed to know about traveling in the area and lake district.The breakfast was tasty and very enjoyable. wo... what people say » uld recommend and will definately return in the future.The rooms were immaculate,clean and comfortable. A little haven in the countryside. - we spent three gloriousl nights , we had the best room in the house patio doors looking over green fields and water . Breakfast excellent ,cant fault it .The only advice i can offer guests is: when paul tells you about a twenty minute walk make sure you get the right directions otherwise it could take an hour and a half.Eddie

  Very friendly, welcoming Hotel. Superb mixture of old and new buildings blending together very well. An excellent situation for visiting The Lakes and Yorkshire Dales area.
