Great service. Rooms are comfortable, package was good value for money and the otium facilities were very enjoyable especially as I was a leisure guest.clean friendly good value for money.
all reviews » services / facilities. The staff were very helpful and efficient at sorting out the problem when they found that they didn't have a booking for us. We had booked a standard double room but ended up with a Premier Executive room after we had been re-booked for the price at which we'd booked. Our room was excellent. We ate in the bar and the bar staff were good too. Room was superb....apart from the initial damp smell in the bathroom...which was cleared after the a/c had been on and the bathroom door had been open....the room is neat and plenty of space. food quite nice. Free breakfast cmfy bed easy parking nice staff. The warm receiving and fast service respond. staff at the front desk very friendly. Quiet and clean room with good tv. helpful and friendly staff. Good-sized room, pleasant temperature, quiet. Convenient for underground and amenities. We got our room upgraded to a deluxe room with use of the spa facilities for free. Very nice gesture indeed. The hotel was perfect for connection to many areas due to the vicinity of the underground. very close to the venue where i was attending training. Nice room well furnished. Good breakfast included.comfy room facilities good and clean. polite staff. Clean room. hotel room was comfortable but in saying that we did upgrade to a better room which cost us £60 which was a bit of a ripoff as our room booked should of been suffice. In room dining needs to buy some sort of cover for the toast so it's not stone cold when it gets to your room. The only other thing is all the staff need to slow down when they speak, I know that sounds silly, but they all speak way too fast, especially when they answer the phone. Parking facilities were very limited, and not very well organised.Remote control on TV did not work and even after I rang down no one came up to replace or sort it as requested. My original room was filthy with TV points forced out of the wall, dirty bedding, a terrible smell. Adjacent rooms had doors kicked in. There was a fan in this room. I'm not sure how it could revolve with the amount of filth on it.The queue for breakfast was awful! There were not enough staff to deal with demand for tables at breakfast and the ones that were there were quite surly! Also, felt a service charge at the bar was cheeky! All he did was pour my glass of wine at the bar - it's not as though there was table service!. Room cold. rooms could do with refurbishment, carpets worn and bare in places, mini bar was empty, had to go to reception if you wanted it stocked.Felt like couldnt be trusted. I got to the hotel only to find it was overbooked, I think they had obviously been able to sell the room at full price rather than the discounted price, whilst they did transfer me to another hotel 25 minutes away, upgrade me to a double room and give me a free bottle of wine after much haggling, I was most annoyed as I had picked the location of the hotel as it was right next to where my friend...Service at breakfast was poor, we were warned it may be busy on the weekend but we went to breakfast late and it was very quiet. It still took 10 minutes to be seated and 5 requests before we received tea. The air conditioning in our room didn't work. Reception staff were not the best.Excessive service charges for poor bar service and excessive food prices for poor quality food. Cleaning was dubious. The only problem I had was the shower could not be switched on and I had to shower using the hand held shower - not very good. Check in staff unhelpful. Booking payment apparently not received so had to be taken again and reclaimed!. That the breakfast which wasn't included would have cost £17 per person! The rooms were quite old fashioned but just standard really, for the price we paid (£120 for a double room) would have expected something a bit nicer. Not in the best area of London as some high rise flats next door but this didn't bother us. no towels in my room and then after asking four times i recieved one towel between two of us!! .. chipped paint everywhere and weirdly three beds crammed into my twin room! the 1 pillow was as much use as a piece of paper. but in saying all this was very handy for Barbican and was not horrible just 3 star not four as advertised.I was in the "seedier" slightly older section of the hotel, and the room reflected this. The price of breakfast, as it was cold.
