the staff were friendly. we got upgraded for free when we arrived which was a nice surprise. the room was clean and the king size bed was amazing. the breakfast was also very nice. good location. Very friendly staff at front desk who upgraded our room when he heard it was our 1st wedding anniversary.the staff were very friendly.and if we needed anything all we had to do was ask and it was done.

The room overlooked gardens so had a pleasant view even though it was at the back of the hotel. It was also a very quiet comfortable room, jacuzzi was wonderful, breakfasts excellent, staff very helpful and room service meal very good. An excellent experience.proximity to Harrods, restaurants, museums; the ambience, the houses in the squares and streets; everything in the hotel works perfectly and the buffet breakfast is excellent, service is friendly and prompt. The hotel staff were helpful and the two rooms we stayed in were airconditioned roomy and comfortable. Very nice hotel that is central to London and convenient for all museums, hyde park and the palalce, etc. Drinks and lobby are lovely. The hotel was brilliant but had noisy people in the rooms around us who watched tv till late and liked banging doors.Heating difficult to control - too hot. One small complaint: I was woken at 8am on the second morning by the room service girls chatting very loudly outside my room for 10 minutes. However, my suggestion to the manager that some additional customer service training would be beneficial was very courteously accepted so hopefully other guests won't experience the same problem.only the price! and the practice in the bar of serving (and charging for)double measures of spirits as standard e.g. I asked for a whiskey and was served a double whiskey. Bed/pillows could be better. Sound proofing of doors could be improved.Only one comment The English breakfast could be a lot hotter!. We had a spa bath in our room, I ran the bath and it wouldn't work and there were instructions above the bath which had been wiped off due to cleaning. Some common area carpets in need of replacement. The room spcae was very tight. The hotel is very old ( the lounge dates to the 1600s) so some floorboards creak a little and while we did not hear the traffic outside we did hear our fellow guests late at night sometimes.In one or two places there was a need for repairs. E.g. the bathroom door seemed to be worn away at the bottom and didn't fit in with the otherwise smart decor. quality of restaurant does not reflect the hotel as a whole. Traffic noise. The lounge area is comfortable but I think would benefit from a facelift with better lighting. Papers available buit very, very poor light for reading. The lounge needs to be opened up to feel more like an orangery or sun lounge. The room is trapped in the past but nevertheless comfortable.The use of health facilities was charged (very expensive considering thehotel room rate, unless one would want to spend the whole day there), ontop, children were only allowed during selected hours - a big drawbackfor us as it was one of the selection criteria. Couldn't get hot water to the hand basin. The room was too small and the bed was too small as a double bed. The cleaning lady keot knocking on the door although we had the sign : "Do not disturb" When we did not answer she used her key and opened thedoor. Unacceptable! When the shampoo and shower gel were not completelyempty they would not leave new ones.The wirlpool bath was very noisy and not very good at all ,so notrelaxing to use. noisy ventilation system outside in the backyard.The hotel walls where a bit thin and could hear other rooms occupants.

Breakfast is only included for extra guests when they have paid for an extra bed. Extra beds cost an additional GBP 40 per person per night. Families are welcome at The Rembrandt, and children aged 4 or under stay for free when sharing with two adults. For families of three, a number of rooms can either accommodate a roll-away bed or a sofa bed. Guests must notify the hotel at time of booking through Special Requests exactly how many adults and children will be in each room. Please be advised that the hotel cannot always guarantee a room if they are not made aware in advance that there will be 3 people in 1 room. If you have reserved a rate that requires a deposit, for your security, the credit card used for pre-payment must be presented at check in. If the guest does not have access to the credit card, they must be able to provide an official form of photo I.D. i.e. Passport or photo driving licence, a copy of which will be retained by the hotel.
