I have used this hotel before and continue to rate it highly for cleanliness, efficiency, and cheerful staff; also v.good breakfasts. Staff were always very helpful and friendly. Used the hotel for the first time on an overnight stay in London with my two daughters. Excellenty sited close to the tube and central London. A quiet location but with the sense you are still in the capital. Basic accomodation , helpful polite staff and a resonable tariff. very good breakfast, friendly staff, very quiet, very good tube connection. Value for money in a good location. Good choice of tv channels and wireless access. Price, location, free internet, breakfast. The breakfast was great. The dining room is slightly cramped. My room was boiling hot. It was situated on the top floor and is probably under a boiler or geyser that is not insulated. This should be rectified if they want to hire out this room. As I was booking out I overheard another guest complaining about the fact that camera equipment was stolen from their room. This is scary. Was it an inside job? How did thieves gain access?. the shower/toilet was only about 1m80 high, the shower was cold one morning. Room very small, not clear that there were no private facilities in the room when booking. It was absolutely freezing in the bathroom (it was snowing outside, and there was no heating whatsoever) and it was not very clean either.
You can hear everything that is going on in the other rooms. If you decide to sleep there, take some earplugs.
The wifi was not working properly. . Definetely the half-underground location of the room and the garbage bags stored right in front of it, and the Big light in our window!. Room was cramped. Bathroom in basement was grotty and cold. Breakfast room was too small and couldnt accommodate all diners ie didnt get breakfast!. We were not impressed with the room on the 3rd floor. For people in their 60's to carry their cases alll the way up was very difficult. We were disappointed with the room. The floor sloped, the beds were average and the ensuite was very small. . Tinned tomatoes for breakfast and bathroom too far away with no whb. small, noisy. The dining area where breakfast was served was much too small. The (shared) bathroom I used was freezing (no heating and I stayed there late December/early January)!. staff spent considerable time on guests pc! breakfast was slow and waitresses didnt bring what was requested!!!!!!!!!!!!! Asked for tea but none came, asked again, still none!. not an experience i would like to repeat. shower. Small room, poor state of repair. poor facilities dirty bathroom. very poor would not stay again.
