Very friendly staff. Also accommodated us when our flight arrived early and gave us a spare room till such time as our room was ready. Clean and neat rooms, very centrally located and next to a underground station with a shopping centre within walking distance and a good deli shop next door. Overall a very pleasant stay and will recommend it to all. location was great, pub across road, good restaurants close by, handy for tube station and buses. staff excellent. Requested a twin room as travelling with a friend but on arrival told there was no double room available - tried really hard to sort it out and ended up in an accessible room which was great. Thank you.
all reviews » This is a lovely hotel and realised I had stayed here 9 years ago when it was the Burlington! Excellent location for Euston and for Russell Square tube and all the buses. I would definitely stay at this hotel again but hope they will invest in firmer mattresses. The front desk clerk Emilio from Italy helped us sort out the fact the we had booked at the other holiday inn in Bloomsbury quickly and without issue. The breakfast is outstanding quality. The location is great for the british museum and other main attractions. Location, for sure, close to Picadilly and Soho (30 minute walk, 10 minute tube trip) and the staff were excellent. Nice ethnic restaurants and a small mall across the street -- good value and good location. Yes, I'd stay again. Good rooms with good shower. Very clean and comfortable. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful but not in an overbearing way. Excellent food in the restaurant at an extremely good price. I would definitely stay here again. Convenience to Russell Sq. tube stop which was convenient to the entire city. Also, the concierge was most helpful in securing show tickets; airport transport; locations of placed of interest. Breakfast was great! Location just around the corner of Russel Square was perfect. And the little shopping center just across the hotel (The Brunswick) with many restaurants to try. Location, v close to Russell sq tube station, there's a nice little mall across the street and many cafes & restaurants nearby. 5 min walk to British museum Front desk staff. A safe in the room would have been nice(some rooms have them) and bathroom slippers which is generally standard in most hotels were missing. No bathrobes and a noisy but empty fridge. I thought that the mattress was too soft. All hotels I have stayed in over the last few years have firmer mattresses. We did not have breakfast at the hotel - far too pricey at £16.95! Went round the corner to Pret a Manger for £5. The beds mattresses are a little stiff. They charged for internet -- in this era that's like charging to use water. Internet should be included. 1. No beer (ale) sold in the bar, only lagers. 2. I looked to stay 2 nights and add an extra night to my earlier booking but the price had jumped up by £131 from (£180 to £311!) in the space of 5 days. So don't leave it late if you want to book. I didn't stay the 2nd night!. The cleaning staff forgot to refill the tissue box and toilet paper on the last night of our stay. V soft bed mattress Price. Everything as of a high standard. No real dis-likes. Bathroom a bit small. Nothing!. A bit soulless. Bed a bit small. Expensive breakfast. Had to ask twice to get a new lightbulb. I don't like hotels charging for WiFi, and the charges are high - £28 for two days. Thought £16 per head for breakfast too expensive so ate at one of the many local coffee shops, as we are not big breakfast eaters. Also white wine in bar £9.50 a glass!!. I know prices of drinks etc would be expensive but the hotel food and drink were very expensive. Eg a drink for myself and my husband in the hotel was £9,across the road at the pub was £6.50, breakfast in the hotel was £17 each along the street a full english breafastt with tea for 2 was £12.00. Internet facility not working properly. Nothing. Lack of free wifi. Operating the lift using your door key. Bathroom quite small. Some room furniture may need replacing, broken chairs, .. bathroom a bit cramped. shower loose and hanging off the wall. didn,t realise how far out of city it was. The price is expensive for long journey and family. Fact they lost my booking details. I usually book Executive rooms. They should be upgraded to meet some standards. Some rooms are not spacious enough. I was struck by the fact that one of the three lifts was out of order for the two days of my stay! Also my key cards went out of order three times. Also, I had to ring the reception for toilette paper replacement!. The quality of breakfast coffee The room is not very spacy. Room very warm and we were unable to turn heat down. Nothing, it was all good. noisy party in bar area. nothing. Small bathroom. Huge cups of coffee. nothing. Internet connection fee. Breakfast is rather poor. Double beds in executive rooms are rather small. No free wifi in hotel room. In this day & age this should be a standard. Cost was £5 /hour and usually people don't need that long. The single bed is smaller and higher, compared with other hotels'. I have stayed at the hotel several times but I do feel that the beds are bit too soft for my taste. Wireless should be free. Small bed. Small rooms. The bed was uncomfortable.
