I thought the hotel was extremely good value. The rooms were very clean and the bathroom superb. Breakfast was buffet style, lots of choice and plentiful. We did not have a chance to use the bar or restaurant but I would have liked to as the menu was appealing and was the look of the facilities. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this hotel or revisiting it if I ever go back to Liverpool.

The hotel is just across the street from the Walker Museum - a quick trip over to see art everyday is easy ... The hotel was very conveniently placed for the station and all central areas of the city.Everything!! All staff, from reception to cleaning staff {standard of cleaning is excellent} are pleasant and welcoming. This is an excellent hotel for short breaks and have stayed here on numerous occasions, and will do again. The staff are always so friendly, helpful, the atmosphere of the hotel is fabulous if you are staying as a single guest, food is excellent and the location of the hotel is brilliant for city centre and for travel. From the M62
- Exit for the city centre and follow the dual carriageway to the fork in the road.
- Take the left fork then turn right into Mount Vernon which becomes London Road.
- Turn left into Seymour Street.
- Continue onto East Lancashire Road which becomes Walton Hall Avenue, then Walton Hall Lane then Everton Valley then Kirkdale Road.
- Turn left into Great Homer Street which becomes St. Annes Street, then Norton Street, then Seymour Street. The Liner Hotel is situated on the right in Lord Nelson Street on the left hand side.

From the M53:
- Exit tunnel and following signs for the city centre.
- Take the 2nd left onto Hunters Street, which becomes Islington.
