Staff at breakfast were excellent always making sure your table was cleared to give you more room, very happy and freindly, hotel was always getting cleaned, prob the cleanest hotel we have ever been in. We were on over night boat from belfast- to liverpool we got to the hotel at 7am check in isint until 2pm wee left are bags in a store room at the hotel, and took a 5 min walk in to city centre to do a bit of shopping to kill some time, wee got back to the hotel at 11 am and the girl at recept.
all reviews » The hotel itself was warming,stylish,direct taxi calling,the rooms were nicely laid out with a walk in shower.Tea and coffee facilities in the room,along with a tv and wi-fi.Quite spacious.The staff were friendly,although when I asked for additional milk,i had to go down to the bar to get some.The breakfast,which was an extra cost,was nice,with a choice of foods.It was very clean andit was very secure,with you having to use your room card to operate the lift,so not just anyone can use it.That w. Great location, less than a five minute walk from Liverpool One shopping centre and directly across the road from Albert Dock. So efficient, we got a bus from the airport which dropped us directly outside the hotel for only £3!! The hotel is lovely, very nice decor, funky and the rooms are fab, first time I seen a couch in a room, a great touch. Staff are so helpful and even kept our bags after our check out on the last day while we waited for our flight. Would definitely recommend!. Breakfast excellent even though the hotel was fully booked plenty of food and choice available. Breakfast seating area a bit on the small side but meant we had to get up at a reasonable time and not waste the day in bed!!! Will definitely be returning :). Check in was quick and although I had requested room 605 they apologised and gave me 505 which was great . I have stayed here before and find it a very nice hotel to stay in . We will be back :) also asked could I leave my car as we were going xmas shopping they were more than happy and charged a flat £5 fee for the rest of the day . . A visitor friendly Hotel who are more than happy to step in to assist you in any way they can but are also happy to stand back and leave you to your own devices if that is your wish. I spoke to 2 People at the Hotel during my stay the Receptionist when we checked in and the Receptionist when we checked out but the visit was none the worse for that. The hotel is very modern and nicely decorated. The room was very comfortable and clean - large comfy bed, big tv, spotless and elegant bathroom. The breakfast was self-service but plenty to eat. The hotel is not situated on a nice street but it is right between the Albert Docks and the city centre so it only took 5 mins to walk to either. th,toiletries,e room was very clean good decor and comfortable . everything that you would need for a break hairdryer toiletries, iron and ironing board extra sheets and duvet, i have previously stayed at this hotel and the cleanliness is outstanding, it is constantly cleaned, the decor has remained fresh and the staff very helpful. after reading some negative reports I was wondering what the hotel and staff would be, We were greeted by informative and excellent staff The breakfast was very good value the whole ambiance of the place was inviting We would stay again and have already expressed our feelings to friends and relatives. At only three years old, the hotel is very modern,and clean.Lovely bathroom, powerful shower,loved the toiletries dispensers.Bed comfy, even the sofa bed.Free Wifi a bonus too. Breakfast was nice and the hotel had a modern design to it. It was a great location - close to Albert Dock, Liverpool One Shopping quarter and Liverpool Cathedral. I'd read reviews with complaints about chaos at breakfast, but I found a good selection of food, room to sit and cheerful staff. All in all for me, a food place to stay in Liverpool. Everything that you need is provided. The rooms are very well thought out with everything in the right place. For example plugs next to the dressing table,so often missing even in top hotels. Also bedside lights that angle so as not to disturb your partner. The first time I have used the hotel and I was very pleasantly surprised. The location was great for shopping and the Echo Arena. The staff were friendly and helpful, the bed was very comfortable and the hotel was maintained to an excellent standard. The Hotel was very modern and clean and the Staff very friendly.We paid for a River view, but was disappointed as we were over looking a penthouse with the river view to the left and right hand side of that room 523. The location of the hotel is excellent because of its proximity to the Albert Dock where you can e.g. visit the Merseyside Maritime Museum or the Museum of Liverpool. Designs and functionality of the room and how close it was to Albert Dock. Although a slight walk to the city centre and Lime street train station, it's location is still convenient. The hotel was ideally located.. Room very clean, modern and tv had every channel u could ask for.. Hotel lobby was beautiful and breakfast was efficient and very well laid out.. Nothing really, but just make sure you have the full about of cash in your bank account as they freeze the full amount of your stay plus 20 pound deposit, then they give you the 20 pound back in to your bank card and then the full amount comes out. The breakfast could have had more to it,like,mushrroms,tomatoes,fried eggs.The scrambled eggs were not particularly nice.They were very sticky and not much flavour to them.The hotel itself,was at the back of an old creepy pub,and was quite hard to find,even when we asked for directions from the public.A Lot didn't even know where it was. Not a big deal but I would have liked a later check out as we did stay in the hotel 3 nights and our flight was not until 7pm. However, the hotel was fully booked which is understandable and the hotel did keep our bags for us which was great. My only negative comment is the lifts and the door opening and shutting all the time and the automatic voice repeating itself over and over again. Not a thing the visit was excellent to use an old saying "if its not broke don't fix it". There was a buzzing noise in our bedroom all night, even though we didn't have the air-conditioning on - perhaps there was a vent outside near our window?. perhaps increasing times for breakfast,. The building site in such a state spoilsit the approach to the hotel. As near to main road, a little noisy at night, but to be expected, and worth it for the view. lifts quite small and parking expensive (there is a car park next door that charges £3 compared to hotels £9.50). Check in was quite slow but the staff were pleasant enough. We had some sort of leak in our room from the roof and we informed reception but I don't think anyone checked it out. We were only staying 2 nights, if we'd have stayed longer then I would have appreciated someone coming into the room to assess the leak. Other than that it was a very nice hotel. The bed I found rather hard but having said that I had a decent nights sleep apart from the bedside alarm going off at 4.30am. Did not realise that it was switched on. The Breakfast area was far too small for the amount of Guests in the Hotel, at busy periods I would imagine it would be caos in there. There was nothing to dislike about this hotel. Additional cost for parking. The safes were not big enough for a laptop - not a big criticism though. The fan didn't seem to work in the bathroom. Pity the parking is an extra £9.xx per day. Nothing. There is a very limited choice of food at the breakfast buffett and most things are of industrial quality. Parking fees of GBP 9,50 per night seem rather expensive. Bit cramped at breakfast- but they do warn you that it's busy. Air-con in the room was impossible to control so you either froze or roasted. Nothing. Only thing I didn't like was way the debit ur card incase u get drinks on tab, but not a big deal can't say anythin bad about the hotel or staff. Day time dining options @ Hampton were very limited. The only downside,was at Breakfast times ; too small of an area to cope i.e....was having to eat breakfast in the reception area,where there were people trying to either book in /out.Could be a safety issue (at busy times),where people are carrying their breakfast trays with hot drinks !. No dislikes. No restaurant. Breakfast area can get very busy. The buffet breakfast is a little bit poor. It is nothing to do with the hotel but it is unfortunate the the old pub nearby is in such disrepair, if it was "smartened up" it could be an extra asset to the hotel. I was pleased to be told that the "building site" next to the hotel is about to be re-developed. Nothing. Breakfast time very busy. Had a bit of trouble with lifts but nothing major. Lifts were a bit odd and difficult to use. Could do with a little more storage space - no drawers. Nothing significant. Only comment is that, it would have been useful to have some umbrellas in the room and a little cheer on the front desk. Staff were unapproachable and unhelpful. Previous to check out we asked for a late check out and were told no problem but to ask the next day.. We were told the next day that we could not have a late check out and was given no explanation as to why.. Staff need to liaise with each other more efficiently instead of giving mixed messages that lead to poor service for such a great hotel.
