  Great greeting from staff although pub very busy. Helpful and polite staff all round. Super setting by canal. Small but perfectly formed single room with everything you could need. Bathroom VERY small but manageable. Good clear information in the room. Room was spotless. Average continental breakfast served by very pleasant young lady. Nice location, convenient for the NEC - and nice to get away from the exhibition halls to the country and canalside location.

  At the time I stayed at the hotel they were in the process of redecorating the main hall and most of the bedrooms. However, this work was being carried out in a manor that did not disturb the guests. My room was very nice, clean and well presented. Nice large screen TV with freeview so plenty of channels to choose from. I was able to use my wireles... what people say » s laptop (via BT openzone) which was useful. My only criticism is that there were no spare toilet rolls in the bathroom. - Professional flexible and helpful staff, who made organising our stay(which included a funeral 'reception') easy and stress-free. Good menufor borh breakfast and evening meal.

  nice chalet style room overlooking countryside. Owners very helpful (although I never saw them) Nice clean room and bathroom, with lovely bed sheets and covers. Nice toiletries. Liked parking opposite room.Liked table and chairs outside to sit and have a drink.Option of wine, soft drinks, snacks, from mini bar. - The owner Heather is so friendly,... what people say » welcoming and helpful, the area is wonderful countryside with plenty of opportunity for romantic walks and meals at country pubs. The horses in the stables nearby complete the experience, one my partner and I will definitely be repeating again in the future!

  The staff were fantastic, very friendly and helpful. The hotel is obviously of a very high standard but it was the staff not the furnishings that really made my stay! - Friendly staff, comfortable and modern rooms
