  We were made to feel welcome right from the minute we entered Merlindale. The hosts and staff were excellent and very easy to get along with - we were made to feel special and nothing was too much trouble. It is him who makes a stay at James Cottage so relaxing and special. - Staying at James Cottage was like staying at the house of a friend or member of the family.   We were staying here as a group of friends and family. We found the owner to be very welcoming and friendly. The rooms at the Victoria were beautifully decorated with comfortable beds. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast before heading off home but have every intention of staying here again and would highly recommend it to anyone. Cosy lounge for pre and post dinner drinks. Spacious, comfortable bedroom with all the facilities you could want. Despite a large number of families with kids staying at the hotel we did not hear them during the night. - All staff were friendly and helpful. Lots of different lounge areas available to relax in the hotel. Food was also very good within the hotel. Although the hotel was full, there was no noticable noise from other rooms. Easy access to beautiful countryside.
