Absolutely loved it from the minute I turned off the main road, to find a Premier Inn tucked away in woodland so close to Gatwick Airport was a surprise. Spent three days and received a friendly welcome from staff who were always willing to help in whatever matter. My room was quiet and the usual Premier Inn high standard. Surroundings lovely and it was great to eat out in the garden terrace of the restaurant alongside, which itself was full of character. Will stay again.
all reviews » Excellent! Extremely friendly, helpful and curteous staff. Very clean and well decorated rooms, with good bathroom facilites. Comfortable beds and in a very peaceful area considering its so close to the airport. Great restaurant facilities and lovely garden to sit in. Loved that it was set in the grounds of 14th Century manor house. Free parking too!. Clean comfortable and has very convenient local bus (100) and shuttle service. The bus service is more regular, quicker to and from the airport and cheaper! I would happily stay there again. The restaurant and bar adjacent to the hotel is characterful (the building dates back to 1400s) and the interior is very clean and convivial. staying here was brilliant as we had a early flight,we booked a taxi the night before so all we had to do was get up and go.i had medication that needed to stay in fridge overnight and they were so helpful.we had a great meal wil be staying again before our next holiday no more rushing early mornings before our flight again. It is very good value, extremely clean and tidy. The bed is extremely commfortable. Very warm shower and I can relax. There is a pub next to the hotel which has a very menu at reasonable price. Highly recommend this hotel. Staff are friendly. I booked this hotel for my parents for the night before their early morning departure. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The pub served delicious food and the bed was very comfy according to my folks. Definite thumbs up. Although not arriving untill 4am we were given a warm welcome and provided with extra tea, coffee & milk on request. We were able to keep our room until 2pm as we had a late flight. Premier Inn is our Hotel chain of choice. The staff were helpful in getting us supper after a late arrival. As well, they arranged a taxi to the airport early the next morning. The bed was comfortable and the shower worked well. It was very quiet in this hotel. THe lovely old farm buildings have been beautifully made into a hotel with attached restaurant. My wife and I have stayed at this hotel approx 10 times over the past 3 years and has always been excellent. The venue, staff, food, cleanliness and comfort have always been perfect. Comfortable as always with a Premier Inn, very helpful staff managed to get us a booking in the restaurant despite the fact that there was a wedding party there and it was very busy. The night staff on the Sunday 3rd November that night were great . As the pub on site was busy they called for us so we could have pizza as the kids were tired from travelling . Service staff were so accommodating and friendly, room was clean and everything I needed was there and simple to use. It felt like I received a lot for the price I paid. Nothing wrong with Premier Inn Hotel clean etc it is what it is for a Budget Hotel other than the Noise, and our refund was waiting for us in reception on check out. - Short distance from Gatwick Airport - Restaurant had good food at a reasonable price. The hotel rooms are very clean and tidy, and the hotel staff were very helpful and quickly sorted out as best they could any problems the guests may have. shuttle bus was timed well according to our check in time. The only concern I would have and one which I had previously read in a review was that the pub/restaurant alongside could sometimes be noisy especially at the weekends ..... ask for a quiet room at the back if possible. Could do with more packets of tea and coffee. At least two of each as its nice to have a beverage on arrival and one first thing in the morning. But that is the only minor thing I can find to criticise. Couldn't fault it really - very good value for money. The hotel is close to the airport. Although it is just 10 mins from the airport by car, we ended up spending over 40 mins on communting from the hotel to the airport because the shuttle bus got to stop at at least 5 or 6 other hotels to pick up passengers. The frequency of shuttle bus is about one service every 50 mins. So, we ended up living the hotel at 5:45am for a flight leaving at 9:30am. Other than the not so frequent shuttle bus issue, I still highly recommend this hotel. Narrow hallways, carpet a bit worn, but everything was clean and we were well taken care of. When booking I was given info on how to get to the Premier. Since then, about 2 months, the bus shuttle system has changed from Gatwick. We stood waiting, asked around and ended up taking a taxi. This info needs to be updated. It was no problem from the Premier to Gatwick however, just Gatwick to the Premier was out of date. It's not that I didn't like it - just a warning to other people staying - the restaurant got so booked up that they weren't taking any more bookings when I arrived. However, they will do take-away and you can eat in your room. Also, do order a taxi via the hotel; it cost me £13 to get a taxi from Gatwick to the Hotel and the driver didn't take me round to the Hotel reception. When the hotel ordered a taxi it was only £8 and the driver picked me up at the door. Nothing. No hairdryer!. Could do with more plug sockets...being a woman I have multiple appliances!. Directions as printed from letsbookhotel.com web site not very clear. This time we stayed in room 307 and found the bed to be quite hard, unlike our previous stays. Bathroom needed updating . Abit run down. The breakfast that I paid to have included with my room price was disappointing. Refunded for our stay as there was a Party across the road which kept us awake, not great when you have an early morning flight. Would I stay at this particular Premier inn again? No sorry.... - room was small - no free WIFI. The breakfast service was extremely slow. Not enough staff to top up the food which left people waiting a long time. Certain staff was very rude when I politely asked for some glasses to be brought out. Not as many plug sockets as we needed. Do not cater for people travelling late in the evening for an early morning flight. Nothing. Nothing. Was a bit difficult to find (due to lack of road name signs and my lack of sense of direction!). Walk from the courtesy bus drop off point to the premier inn a bit hard for pulling your cases across the cobbles. Nothing really. The location means that there is only one eating facility - the pub next door. It serves good meals but is packed so you cannot always get a table in the dining room. However, saying that, there if you are prepared to wait they will find you a table eventually or you, if you don't mind the noise, then there are tables you can eat at in the bar area. Breakfast was cramped, cold, and quite slow but probably due to amount of people descending at the same time. Staff were still very pleasant !!. 1. Distance from the airport. 2. Bus service to and from Gatwick not frequent enough. 3. We had a noisy family next door and the children tried to come through the adjoining door. Breakfast has only two staff, the lady works very hard. The price of the drinks London prices?two G&Ts over £18.00 glad we only had two went to look for ocean finance in the foyer to get a loan for the third.I am a pensioner but enjoyed the stay. Nothing!. Not as close to Gatwick South as the other Premier Inn is to the north terminal. not enough disabled parking spaces outside hotel...terrible restaurant , dirty , no choose of food for a gluten-free meal ... Nothing. broken soap dispenser in bathroom. Nothing - a couple more tea bags in the tea making facilities, but that's all!. Speed bumps.
